40 hour long round. I got some questions.
  • How server did not have it's Campbell moment similar to what Manuel does? It was not even laggy at time I logged off for last time.
  • Where are public logs?

I fucking knew it, you can't have one good night of sleep without having some fucking rat weasel it's way into the station and call the shuttle when nobody is there. Should start organizing ourselves into shifts and always have someone ready to gun them down like the degenerates that they are.

Damn I was really tempted to destroy the consoles and call a week long shuttle evac timer but I thought that'd be too far.

How am i supposed to rp convincing character arcs and establish character motives in order to escalate violent situations in only 40 hours? Thats not even two days! why should i attempt to RP at all when i know that halfway through explaining my OC's ptsd from lavaland gotten 8 hours into the round to the barkeep, the shuttle could be called by some shitter, justified only by the ooc justification that "most of the crew is dead, they should be able to play again!" If they were RP'ing like they should have been, they would have avoided death like.. well death i guess. The emergency shuttle is the biggest threat to Roleplay that has ever existed, and it must be removed for campbell to fulfill it's purpose as the greater of the two RP servers.

Though seriously, a round which goes for a week straight sounds compelling, almost like that persistent server which would have rocked if not for being based on bay code, and not existing for the past year

"most of the crew is dead, they should be able to play again!"
I did xenobio and made shitton of golem shells to enable people to respawn. Even provided a bit of charged green + stable mutation toxin + renaming potion combos for golems to become humans with customized name.

Why respawn mechanics are not a thing? You should be able to get back into game in something like 30 minutes if you fell down chasm at lavaland or something as bullshit as that.

Seems a low pop and a Linux server prevents the crashes. Neat.

it's just the low pop.

We only see unbounded memory growth when there are more than 10 players online

Even on Campbell? Did it even have this many players ever? Sad if it's true.

changing operating systems isn't going to fix the memory leaks we have unfortunately.
