lmao jannies are gonna have to take a ban-appeal seminar to be qualified to handle ban-appeals for some reason

many great discussions already and we still have lots of time to go until the election begins...

what are you folks looking forward to in terms of policy? what do you want to see more of? less of?

was this term a good term?

Not only is that not proven, we can't just leave ourselves as both one of the biggest repos on github and also easily taken down by one report. It had to happen no matter who did it

The seminar for getting certified is run by me and costs sixty nine great british pounds

the real cost is having to listen to me talk for four hours with only a fifteen minute break for lunch

The fact that a single inconspicuous "slur" in the entirety of the open codebase lead to an instant wordless wipe of the entire repo PLUS the following stonewalling of any and all inquiries as to what the hell is even going on speaks more volumes about github than any cretin reporting it. Whoever is responsible for making this decision doesn't just have a stick in their ass, it's a 1 million volt shock-rod firmly installed in their chute, causing them to be in a constant state of horrifying, excessive convulsion and uncontrollable sperging.

Well, it's called a zero tolerance policy for a reason. Also, you forgot that there was at least one more occurrence of that slur: THAT FAGGOT TRAITOR GEORGE MELONS GRIEFING ME HELP

It would certainly still have been nice to get a warning, particularly for code added before the zero tolerance policy was put in place.

Oh, and the thread topic: my hot prediction is that no matter who wins, nothing meaningful will change at all.

Can't wait to see you all battle it out.

A reminder to all of those running that a lot of being a headmin is literally just keeping the lights on. What that means is stay on top of your paperwork. This includes permissions, editing the config, handling new admins, handling ban appeals, and handling admin complaints just to start off. Those with big lofty goals are more than welcome to pursue them but please, remember that there is a job attached to the role.

Work on your team building, work on knowing when to stand your ground without being hostile, work on making informed decisions rather than rushed ones.

On a personal note I hope, future headmin, that you love this game. That this stupid atmos simulator mess is something you hold dear to you, as I to it.

Godspeed and good luck to all of you!
