when you (learn to) code it
and then you do a bunch of bugfixes after learning to code because you want to add another feature after that but you need the GBP
after doing a bunch of bugfixes and getting some recognition, GBP, and praise for making good fixes, you start to enjoy contributing to the codebase more (you're clearly mentally deranged for playing here, enjoying the process of bugfixing isn't that far of a jump)
as time goes on and you continue to help the code eventually a head coder takes notice of you
finally, the story ends with you being picked as a new maintainer
WYCI is actually the coder agenda, don't let them know I've told you this I've been living on the lam for 10 years
