Laws which completely redefine asimov

Post by wesoda25 » #623938

I really like laws which just completely redefine asimov. Like, a one off definition or command or whatever which just entirely shifts the focus of silicons and can create completely unique and hilarious situations. People should post good ones here...

I once witnessed a shift where a good samaritan defined opening doors as harmful to humans.

Their intent was to make it so that the AI did not have to open doors.

Unfortunately, the AI had to interpret their wording that opening doors was human harm in general and they set about locking down the entire station to prevent harm.

I was thinking that locking down would be counterintuitive to just opening and bolting, but that would require opening. So bolting and rcd'ing the door down would work.
