Hey virology mains

What do you think your funny little room ambience sound like? Right now it just utillizes medbay ambience, how about it having unique ambience sound? Maybe it should sound like something from plague inc? I wanna make one, I want your help.

The example you gave isn't bad. It definitely conveys a certain degree of darkness that you'd expect from that location.

This is an incredibly vague suggestion, but I'd make it sound more "laboratory". A bit more bubbly, maybe. Something that echoes the chemistry and monkey experimentation. That said, don't make it overly dark though- virology isn't inherently destructive, even if it's more fun when it is.

For a few months the monkeys would scream really loud at random intervals and let me tell you that was absolutely the worst.

I assume there's centrifuge running off in the distance, and the entire thing is a negative pressure room so probably a small fan.

Well, there is already a vent sound existing in game, it named shipambience and is a subtle loop played in every large area. Small area's doesn't have it, maybe I can give small area's their loop ambience.

Virology in ss13 always gave me a huge sense of isolation - you've got a double airlock between you and the rest of the station, your own atmos & disposals, and no-one ever visits.

Techy
Bubbly
Hazy
Unhinged
Vast

Now obviously, it's your sound and you should adjust it how you want. But I feel like a small location like virology (which, in general, tends to be more cramped than say, medbay) might have less of an echo in its ambience. It's up to you whether you agree with that ofc

Well, it's just made in style of SS13 ambience sounds. They are always so weird and shit, I wanted this one to sound like plague inc.
