Hotdog recipe inaccuracy

As most of you know, hotdogs are a foodstuff you can make on the TG branch of space station 13. However, there is an inaccuracy in the way hotdogs are portrayed ingame.

The recipe for hotdogs (NOT in the sandwich category, but that's a topic for another thread) requires 5 units of ketchup. Undoubtedly, ketchup is a common condiment on hotdogs, but it is just that, a condiment. Ketchup is not required to create hotdogs, yet we are forced to use it ingame. Many people even prefer PLAIN hotdogs over those with ketchup, considering the condiment detrimental to the hotdog experience.

A simple solution would be to remove ketchup from the hotdog recipe, but I don't believe this to be enough. There is another underlying issue that I have yet to address. Space Station 13 lacks alternative condiments for hotdogs. Mustard, relish, onions, and more, all unavailable, some more popular than ketchup. This underrepresentation of condiments is simply unacceptable for a game like Space Station 13, where player choice should matter. All of these condiments should at least be an option to the potential hotdog consumer.

I have seen few talk about this injustice, and have decided to bring it to light. The solution to this issue is rather simple, there is simply no reason for it to continue being a problem. Thank you, people of TGstation, for your time, and consideration.

I admit that was mostly anecdotal, and I'll have to apologize for that.

Ketchup is a very popular condiment, it's put on a lot of things, but specifically for hotdogs, it's very contested.

Clearly we need mustard. What lame hotdogs don't have mustard?

Sad, another victim of childhood ketchup trauma. I am truly sorry you can never experience the true joy of ketchup with your tainted past.

Ketchup is a fine condiment, it's just that mustard tastes so obviously superior to me (on hotdogs at least), it seems silly to have ketchup as a condiment and not anything else.

Sounds like the recipe should just be bun + sausage.

If the sprite includes ketchup, then remove it and make it a greyscale overlay added and coloured by using a condiment on the hot dog.
There is another underlying issue that I have yet to address. Space Station 13 lacks alternative condiments for hotdogs. Mustard, relish, onions, and more, all unavailable, some more popular than ketchup.
Yeah, sprite overlays for all of these so when people are having a sausage sizzle they can pick and choose.

Also add the ability to substitute a slice of bread for the hot dog bun and add Pinto.

I'd make the recipe require one condiment, so bun + sausage + ketchup/mustard (actually, we don't have mustard, shouldn't be hard to add it to the vendor in a condiment bag tho)/mayo (heretical cooking)

Condiments are added after you make the hotdog.
