Deleting/Reinstalling

It was a few days ago, one of the codermins kicked me from the server because I was vocal about some changes or some shit like that. Was obviously a joke on his part because people were messing around about "you might get kicked by he" stuff so no problems with that, Immediately rejoined and oh look. a 30mb patch. Ok wait wait wait.

Rejoined and played. I believe it was after this patch that I started getting problems. One is the lights. Sometimes the whole screen flashes and reveals everything for a brief second. Another is the lag. I've probably walked out of the airlocks a few times already thanks to that and died a bit. Also can't even do something as simple as hacking doors because they sometimes don't respond properly. Can't even defend myself in fights really.

Someone pointed out that Byond must have decided to redownload a rsc file since it might not be a legit patch. Considering the byond folder in my program files is 11 mbs I don't think the download went there. Anyone know the directory for these things so I can delete and reinstall? Because this problem is really messing me over.

On Win8 (and 7 I think), the byond.rsc file is located at C:\Users\<User Name>\Documents\BYOND\cache\byond.rsc

Though it's probably a good idea to move/delete the entire cache folder. There is even a button for that somewhere in the BYOND pager itself but I'm not sure exactly where.

Good work Omni, you managed to unlock the secret hardcore mode to this game! Sadly, once enabled, it cannot be disabled by any means. Oops!

Uninstalling seems to work if anyone else has a problem like this. At least there is no weird flashing and moving doesn't have a slow load for new areas.
