HEADMIN ELECTION 2: RETURN OF THE VOTE

ARE YOU READY FOR SOME DEMOCRACY!?

IMPORTANT: The player vote will be happening AFTER the admins and coders vote and select their headmins. This was generally agreed upon by all parties as the order everyone prefers. Coders will be left to their own devices, and I will conduct the secret admin vote. THIS THREAD IS FOR THE PLAYER VOTE OF THEIR TRIUMVIRATE REPRESENTATIVE. If you would like to discuss term limits and lengths please see the appropriate thread also found in this subforum.

This thread (and the forum) is serving to primarily facilitate the player vote. Please keep in mind all candidates which are nominated (either by themselves or by someone else) will be voted on by the player base. Admins are free to run in multiple elections, though if someone were to win the admin vote they will be removed as a candidate for the player vote, for example. The coders and admins may also elect someone who did not run for the player vote.

In this thread make your nominations (you can nominate yourself), if someone is nominated and accepts the nomination they are then invited to make a separate thread in the temporary election subforum (https://tgstation13.org/phpBB/viewforum.php?f=38) with the subject line "HEADMIN CANDIDATE: [insert name]", this thread will then be linked in the post below when I or another mod notice it needs to be updated. Aside from nominations, this thread will also serve as the place to discuss the election generally, discussion and questions for candidates should be limited to the candidate threads. Feel free to endorse candidates here as well.

We are going to function like we did before. Anyone can be nominated and accept, but not everyone can be a candidate. The host gives the final approval.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE:
It is vital to point out that due to recent events to do with the changing of our host (again) that it was decided upon by adminbus (and agreed upon by various players, and our host) that the headmin triumvirate will be the ultimate authority on our server. They answer to us as players/admins/coders. Not to the host.

OFFICIAL HEADMIN ELECTION IRC CHANNEL: #electionbus

Stickymayhem has won the adminvote. Hornygranny has won the codervote.

OH LAWD Sometinyprick IS THE NEW PLAYER ELECTED HEADMIN

THIS THREAD WILL REMAIN OPEN A FEW DAYS IF PEOPLE WANNA TALK ABOUT THE RESULTS

Someone's gonna do it eventually, so it might as well be me.

I nominate Bluespace for the position of Headmin.

I also pre-emptively decline any nomination for myself. Please do not wish this evil on me.

A vote for Loonikus is a vote for a better tomorrow, and a mediocre today.

What about Ikkarus? I don't know if they'll want to run again, but due to them being away could someone get in contact with them and ask?

Seems unfair that they should miss out due to being on holiday.

An0n3 is going to get in contact with Ikkarus. This was a concern of mine as well.

I nominate An0n3 for headmin.

This clearly lets him focus on his core values, such as devouring our souls with that 1/3 master vote, becoming boliviastation13, working out which server drive is purlek's(for legitimate and non-gasoline purposes), and goats.

Also, after all is done with this election and the triumvirate is chosen, I'm going to hold a forum poll to have people vote whether they want me to continue to facilitate these elections. As I said before, I enjoy doing it but I was basically self appointed so I think it's fair we vote on my performance (at least) after this election.

If you're referring to questions being asked of the candidates, it's a completely reasonable question given the current goings-on in adminbus.

If you have a problem with it, too bad.

Okay I should rephrase my comment

Don't pretend you can change singulo.io because you can't

There are multiple sets of questions from multiple people. If you aren't quite bright enough to come up with your own to ask then kindly shut up. We get it you're super de duper good at shitposting.

Oranges has a point. Some of these questions people are asking are things headmins wont really have any say over or authority to control.

Public logs? Nope. That's all me.
Singulo? Nope. That's between me and Oranges.
Coderbus Politics? Nope. That's between them and me.

Focus on policy and rules questions. If I were voting (which I'm not) or running (which I'm not, though I appreciate the nomination) I would be focused on comparing and contrasting how different candidates feel about topics like

Defining what makes the game fun
Roleplay vs. Gameplay
Rule 1 bans
Silicon policy
Permabans and appeals

And other such stuff. Knowing a lot of these folks well I already have the answers to most of these things but you guys don't.
Now's your chance to grill these guys.
