I absolutely despise clockcuck. I'm cool with most anything, stun combat is fine, getting dunked sometimes is par for the course, all that jazz. But clockcult is not only very unfun to play with how clunky it is, but they're the only, ONLY gamemode that can /kill people. Like you're just minding your own business as HoS and suddenly your name is written in the Death Note and you fucking drop dead with no way to avoid it.

That's not cool.

Ehh, I guess Gang gets my vote, since it is Rev with less definite goals (kill people, but not too much, paint gangtags, either get cucked because one person sprayed a tag in front of HoS or plop a dominator and fortify the position) and special toys for gangsters themselves. Rev, in the meantime, has the simplest goals (KILL ALL HEADS OF STAFF! VIVA!) and is the only gamemode where it's crew versus crew, with no special toys or uplinks or powers or spells or gods, only tasers versus cattle-prods.

I totally agree with gang hate. If I had to make a list of hated gamemodes, it'd be clockcult, a tie between ling/gang, and shitty meme wizard rounds.

Gang is just a godawful mode because it's basically already decided who's going to win the moment it starts. Basically, "have you started with access to a department or is the HoP willing to give you some immediately". If yes, congrats you have like 5 competent converts right off the bat. If not, you get to play russian roulette and hope people are wandering in the halls AND sit still long enough to pen them AND nobody sees AND nobody else got to them first because they spawned next to them.

Gang can be saved unlike a few modes we have, it just needs some changes and tweaks to change it up. Currently it's bad.

honestly I picked gang because it's my least favorite, but I might change that to cogcult

I think cogcult needs the fat trimmed from it.

Ling used to be fun in the ye olden days of parasting. It was the major contributor to BUZZWORD: paranoia because everyone who got near you might be a facestealer and might kill your ass.

Maybe it wasn't much fun to get dunked by it, but you'd have to agree it was more fun than fighting immortal lings or playing as a post-neutering ling.

Parasting was just fucking awful, especially since you could use it while stunned, slipped, etc.
Going up against someone more robust than you? Parasting to instantly win the fight. Slipped while trying to kill the clown and getting your shit stomped? Parasting to win the fight. Security just tased you? Parasting to instantly mute and stun them for an eternity.
It didn't really contribute to paranoia but it sure as shit encouraged a lot of metagaming like leaving your radio microphone on so you could *whisper over the radio for help.

If you were dumb enough to get in a 1v1 scenario with a ling, you were supposed to get atomized. That was ling's thing, they were unbeatable in 1v1 combat.

Ling was just fucking extended except maybe you get fucked by a ten year stun and then you have three hours until the lings all get bored and log out and a round restart vote is called
