I'm not even the person who initially decided naming policy needed to be a thing, enforced, or even gave my opinion on the original administrator general thread about naming policy.

Can i help make a valid point that 'greytiding' is not merely constrained to IC, in this instance the attitude has spilled out towards admins with rebellion being met with a swift hit of a banhammer. Its a cultural IC problem that has now ascended onto OOC too, nobody in game can be reasonably expected to behave because the OOC players are off the rails in the same capacity.

Except also notably Saegmir is a bit overreactive to the said issues of names and speech, same person who dishes out bans for saying ayy lmao given that each admin has a level of tolerance for these things only set by themselves. Parenthesis for example and 'netspeak' are key targets.

The way netspeak is being treated is as 'literal netspeak' not as as 'imitation' of netspeak which points out saegmir's approach as being heavy handed.
