Space Station 11

A prototype based off of SS13, made by abdulla_best - Space Station 11.
There are calculations of oxygen, electricity and light. There is also a construction of objects. The game is multiplayer.

1. It already has things done.
2. It has an unique artstyle, and only some of the content is stolen from SS13.
3. I have talked to the dev, seems like generally a nice dude.

Through relogging and clunky construction, I managed to make a little expansion into space.

It's intriguing, but it hasn't really gone anywhere. I could make something in BYOND with this fidelity in a couple of hours. Still, I suppose I'd be interested to see where this gets.

Looks pretty okay to me. With enough hard work and dedication, it could be another failed project littering the ground in front of the blood throne of BYOND atop which we sit.

1. This is true, but some things being done is true of a lot of these remakes we see
2. If anything wouldn't this mean more work and therefore increases the likeliness of the project failing?
3. I haven't spoken to the guy and I have no reason to think he's bad, but you can be literally jesus christ and still be shitty at making a game, or actually hitler and churn out a solid project

ss13 remakes fail because they don't reuse the art.

The art pipeline is the slowest part of all games, any remake that uses a different perspective will ultimately take many years to reach feature parity which harms it's ability to position itself as a remake.

Calculator. It allows you to program a tile, you click on a tile and write javascript code.

In the pic, the door will open only for a player with the name "robotcity", if you don't write the code correctly - nothing will happen, so, you need to write correct code.

I'll ask the dev more about the item, and clarify on that aspect.
EDIT: Dev said that the javascript in the tile executed is completely safe, no leaks or server crashes/breaks will be possible. He has worked 6 years in network security and will award you if you break something using it.

New items added: Pistol and knife, early version so might now work, for the pistol you need ammo, press R to reload.
In programming ( calculator item ) you can now ask the user something, which means you can ask for the password to open a door or access to a crate/locker.
Also some minor bugfixes.
Next will be improving weapons, calculator, and start making botany because everything being grey isn't that great, and then back to shaders, will try to make so that you can see through walls or turn the camera so you can.
New arriving people now don't have anything on them, the password is "123654" everywhere.
What should hit stronger, a knife or a bat, or make so that there are wound types, bloodloss?

Port SS13 to Gmod, then use wiremod computers to make a fully functional BYOND, and then re-add SS13 to the wiremod BYOND and play like that for extra meta.
