When I can be a drone and upgrade all the machines on station and everyone is grateful about it.

Fully upgraded weapon chargers can charge an empty taser to full in ~one second and a fully upgraded emitter can do the job three with a fraction of the power required

Having a team of operatives all get killed by the stickman ruin before the station learned of their existence. Essentially causing classic, unannounced extended.

It was actually a good round with the crew running all sorts of fun gimmicks without assistants breaking every window in sight.

I'm definitely starting to see the shuttle being recalled as a moment of joy.

Calling shuttles on a dropped eyelash is a cancer, and I'm glad to see that people are working against it.

Were we playing the same round? Well over half of the people hated it. It's a terrible gamemode that should never be run, even for events.

Definitely not "well over half" or even half but yeah some people didn't like it as goes with most rounds regardless of type

Also there was a vote and the people picked monkey. This is the future you chose

Clock cult may be poorly designed but at least you can fight it. It's actually very easy to fight at this point. The key is the AI.

it doesn't make me quit the game immediately and all crewmembers have an equal chance of participation (growing bananas, welding vents, trying to kill monkeys)

it's not a GOOD gamemode, but yeah, I think it could be argued that it is better

That's not equal participation. Science is completely useless aside from locking down entirely and welding vents, because we will never get mats from science. And before you say to use Xenobiology, slimes are too slow to catch player controlled monkeys.

Why does nobody make monkey mode better? Make monkeys starve to death or something and they can't hide forever.

I ran a monkey round the other day and I don't know if this was bugs or not but

-monkeys can't see out of vents anymore, they just see the pipes/vents
-monkeys suffocate while in vents

the monkeys lost, actually, it was a bit fucking ridiculous

(also the captain got jungle fever and beelined for genetics to make himself human wew)

Monkeys not being able to see out of vents is a feature, apparently. Ventcrawling got changed a while back so that you need thermal or x-ray vision to see people while inside a vent, hence why xenos are unaffected.

Monkeys need sufficient pressure and O2 to be able to survive in vents for long periods, scrubbers are almost always de-pressurised so crawling through them is a bad idea.

Also monkey fever forces you to revert to being a monkey even if you get made human via genetics or mutadone.
