If anyone gets the "Anti-Cheat not installed" error when running it, open the game dir folder and go to the installers folder, there should be a anticheat installer in that. Just run the exe and it should work fine after. No idea why it didnt install when the game updated, possibly something to do with access restrictions with win10

Back to Ubersreik DLC is out. Comes with 3 maps from the first game, one weapon for each character, and a secret 4th map that's just a horde map but insanely difficult. So far on legend only 6 groups have cleared it with mine having been the 4th. You get a dope ass portrait frame.

Next dlc announced today is an expansion set to release early Summer.

- Beastmen faction (Bowmen and Bestigor revealed so far)
- 1 new adventure map
- Legend+ difficulty mode
- Increased level cap
- One new weapon for each character
- New talents
- Winds of Magic mode (mixed up sections of levels with puzzles/modifiers)

This game is pretty goddamn great. The art and sound direction are fantastic, and make me want to get into other Warhammer related games, it's a perfect mix of grimdark and humor.

Also Witch Hunter head shooting stuff never gets old.

Updoot: I haven't played in a hot minute so all these talent rebalances blew my mind. I know digg has been crying and screaming about the recent changes and patch but this looks fuckin' awesome? The talent changes sound like a ton of fun to play with.

To be fair though they scream and cry about everything. The worst thing to happen to this game is digg screaming bloody murder constantly about every goddamn thing and scaring new players off with all their nerd rage.

They redid the damage system just for the sake of it, not to actually make things better. Enemies now take lower damage unless in a staggered animation, where they take varying levels of damage based on stagger. Beastmen are also unbalanced compared to the other two factions. The spearmen slide around a lot and have range that extends beyond what the spear model actually hits. Standard bearer spam is also atrocious.

I've cleared everything on cata and I hate the new damage system. Rip and tear combat is no more.

Kruber got a new class: Grail Knight. $4 for the class alone, $10 for the one you can do challenges to earn cosmetics. Overall, he's very strong.

- Ultimate is an overhead slash that does MASSIVE single-target damage
- Passives are quests you complete each mission that gives everyone a buff for rest of match
- Talents are almost all actually good and have different uses
- New longsword lets you block while charging a heavy attack
- New Sword and Shield have no movement slowdown

this is one of the most mishandled games of all time

it's been out for 2 years and the actual content we got post release is fucking minimal compared to game one in half the span of time, and winds of magic was this absolute horseshit where they tried to push a shitty fucking endless grind mode with E SPORTS LEADERBOARDS and different queues for each of the 99 ladders that have literally nobody in em

nobody but the devs want this to be an e sport and I think they don't understand the appeal of their own videogame

Versus is a neat idea but i'd rather they fix the core game's content anemia rather than add another gamemode with a separate ladder that people won't play and wo'nt receive updates ever

speaking of l4d, it boggles me the mind that fatshark has managed to swerve on THE SINGLE GAMEPLAY MODE that kept l4d2 afloat for all these years- versus mode. i understand not doing it for vermintide 1, budget probably wasn't that great, scope of the game was smaller and games workshop was inevitably strangling them creatively. but god damnit after the formula proved enough to justify a second game, how did it not launch with a versus mode???? that shit should've been development priority #1 even beating out the classes & talents, new maps and whatever the fuck else the game added (nothing of value).

despite being a huge fan of WHF (I have ran nothing but WHFRP 2nd ed for the last 8 years) I genuinely think the game's biggest strength is a combo of its gameplay, the experience, maps and thus the brand by association

I think going 'hwy no versus' is a fair question but a bit of a weird one to ask after the game's mainline content has been anemic

but yeah the loot system is garbo and the fact it took them this long to add another way to get reds is mind boggling

My shilling of Deep Rock Galactic is less just "another l4d clone" and more nailing the feeling of working so hard for so long t clear a map against endless hordes and a desperate scramble to the end, it's my favorite part of vermintide 2

Vs. mode is cancer for a game like this

having to balance all the different abilities and stats to ensure the enemy experience is somehow balanced and fun too is a volatile thing and I've only ever see people fuck it up vis-a-vis Killing Floor 2

Vs works in Left 4 Dead because the game is a really flat, vanilla experience. You dont have to weigh Bill's ultimate ability against Zoe's passive HoT.

I'd rather they keep focused on the reason everyone bought the game, the co-op gameplay.
