Same ships, just more of them if you're at the right resource extraction site.

You go from fight to fight to fight. No downtime waiting for more baddies to arrive.

It's actually kind of impressive how crammed full of NPC's one of these things can get. If you're on later we could wing up and I'll show you.

I shoulda kept the damn multicannons I had. Oh well. I'll buy more later. I'm in the Alliance faction's local capital place. Technically I think I'm still in Fedeation space, but this is the border region.

Yes. We need to agree on some space to meet up though.

EDIT: My stream turned out pretty great and I kicked a lot of ass on it. If you want to see what a full HOTAS setup with TrackIR flies and fights like, check it out. All dem flight skills put to use making me some money.

True. I've also made it to Gateway. Sooo I guess I have some access to the rest of the Alliance sorta.

I'm a knight! I can't possibly be a slave if im almost royalty, and if your not jamming out to LotGH ost or any other classical music in general while playing your doing something wrong.

And slave trading is actually very lucrative in Jeterait, plus dat imperial clipper boy, oh god dam one of these days I'll have it.

You can tell which generation the ships are from by how they're named.

All the ships named after snakes are OG Elite.
All the ships named after birds are from the sequel.

You'll notice that a lot of the snakes are blocky wedge shapes for that same reason, while the birds are a little more dynamic.

Here's a roster of ships from Elite

And here's the roster of Frontier

I've had some nice interactions in open. Here's a story:

>Signed up to the feds for a little bit when I started,
>flying around edge of fed space
>accidental shoot fed ship so get 200 bounty
>fucksake not again
>head back to station to pay off bounty
>OHSHITINTERDICTION!
>"WAIT I ONLY HAVE A 200 BOUNTY!" in local chat
>"Thats ok, I only came to tell you to join the empire or die anyway"
>Other ship way out guns me and has me locked and targeted.
>Ok so they want to RP? I can do that.
>"Im just a poor explorer looking to pilgrimage to my ancestors planet, earth, to start my epic trail throughout the galaxy, but the fucking feds have the system locked down so I need to get a shit permit" plus more fluff.
>MFW they retract their hardpoints
>"Hmmm get your permit and get the hell out would be my only warning, If I see you again, you're dead"
>Lets me go.

Both terrified and extremely happy. Particularity because I didnt have the cash (until I got back to the station to turn in my bounties) to rebuy my ship if he had blown it up.

I left the feds the next day.

Speaking of jumping, anyone come across a starport that offers High Grade class 4 fuel storage? Don't want to jump too far and run out of fuel because fuck fuel scoops.

One of the stations in Belagro has Class 4 Grade A Friendship Drives for 1.6million.

P.S. your diamondback scout is sheeiiiitttt compared to a cobra, stats better yo. Compact ships tend to be squshy moment those shields drop.

ANY HOW; next time I jump on I'm gona get me a Type-6 Transporter, strip it down to max it out to 112 on cargo racks and ship me some more people along with some steroids. From what my best trade route is showing:
Orang to Mehuenomici -Imperial Slaves- {128,794}
Mehuenomici to Orang -Performance Enhancers- {118,496}
So averaging out time it get's to each station around 5 - 10 minutes depending if I overshoot the station round trip it's 242,290 profit after taxes so in a time span of an hour that's nearly 1.5 million. Dayum it feels good to be a gangster.

Yep. Trading is easy money. Stash a Type-6 somewhere close by your fightan ship for when you want to just cruise space and make money. I've got the Type-6 fitted up to go and the Diamondback Scout fitted up to crush faces.

I'm actually rather pleased on how I'm doing with just this little Viper. I'm having fun. I do just want a proper hauler/multirole for hauling/exploring. But part of the reason I wanted the cheapy Adder was because it was disposable. Something that I could risk getting killed in.

Re: Elite: Dangerous

I've read on the elite forums vipers have a tendency of overheating faster than a cobra, granted the weapon placement is boss and it's quicker I've had bad luck with ships with weaker hulls even with military grade armor. More compact you are the quicker damage is going to rack up once shields drop and the moment the cock pits gone it's ogre. Bitch out or self destruct if your too far out. About 1 out of 3 times in a conflict zone I for some reason always run into somebody with a rail gun. That shit can drop shields quick and do other stupid shit like this:

I was going to buy a vulture some time later down the road and slap on two of the best railguns I can find.

Re: Elite: Dangerous

Posted: Thu Jun 25, 2015 8:53 pm

I used to flaunt 6 rails on my trading asp but it's a setup that works only as a deterrent against pirates or if you're a griefer, ammo is too expensive and limited for bounty hounting or combat zones. And it's hard to hit players in small rigs zapping aorund you. Not to mention the annoying delay between click and shot.

I never manage to make money trading.

Not because I can't find profitable route, but just because after doing the same A-B-A only three times I'm already nodding off at the stick.
Really don't know how people manage to do it so much without being bored to tears.
