Bottom post of the previous page:

Yeah that armor looks sweet but the grind gets unreal at level 23+.

I have no fucking idea how people get to level 50 in this game.

Now that I've gotten here honest Im strongly considering just hitting that bitch with cheat engine because fuck that grind.

http://www.playstationtrophies.org/foru ... post7.html

This looks like it could work though if people want to gear up and try it out.

I know the feeling about the grind.
Skorvold has only recently bought the game, and he's about level 20ish now? I've been playing with you guys at every opportunity and I'm only halfway to level 24, I was at 22 when we started getting back into the game.

But yeah, whenever I'm on and free, shout and I'm up for cheesing this over and over, my maxed out thunderer barrage is my usual technique for the cyborg boss anyway.

The Bug boss is by far the hardest boss out of the three. The other two pale in comparison. Cyborg is the easiest of the three in my opinion.
It should be fairly easy for us if we time it right.

Yeah apparently you just get four players with four thunderers and spam that shit in an area after luring the boss in.

As long as everyone has the thunderer maxed out and knows the input well enough it should be a no-brainer.

Is Earth actually getting hit now, and is it any different than the normal city defense?

Was too many people playing at launch so we never got pushed that far back, was a bit let down I only got to play the normal capital defense like twice.

No, it's just another city defense map. A bit of wasted potential, there.

I vaguely remember something about every war that's won, causes the next war to be harder, every war that was lost causes the next war to be easier, etc.

You see what I mean about that set?
It and the Ceremonial set are the only two sets that don't use the whole Black/Grey/Yellow colour scheme, and it looks fucking cool.

What's cool about those two is how it makes you stand out as a special Helldiver snowflake when everyone else is running the yellowjacket colors.

For maximum snowflake use the ceremonial set with the Cyborg cape.

Me and some goons downloaded this recently, played a couple of early (very easy) missions. I've been assured that the challenge picks up fairly fast, but even with the easy missions it's been fun to play with friends

usually grounds for panic, but we got through that one pretty well. Tank supported by two infantrymen is a really nice strat actually, it is nice to not have to tuck and run at the first sign of an IFV

I like the Basilisk over the HAV for a few reasons:

1) Full 90 hate in front. It has a machine gun for patrols and the cannon for big stuff all pointing forward. The HAV has more firepower in more arcs but it actually lacks coverage directly in front, which means you're going yo cause a lot nore alerts in that thing when you cant shoot patrols fast enough.

2) Only two people can fit in the Basilisk. I think this is good, actually. Having guys on foot escorting the vehicle cuts down on alerts.

3) Can spin in place. The HAV's turret can rotate but if you drive intoba stupid position it's harder to get out.

Yeah having the guys on foot is way more useful than in the HAV sponson guns

The immediately obvious didn't happen, but that doesn't mean you weren't laughing like a madman with the pedal to the floor for a time while I sprinted away from you.

Where the truck ultimately ended up (driver included) is within the realm of possible guesswork I think.

Legend has it that if you walk by the ravine where it was last seen you can still hear the engine idling

Haha! Oh man... Nice try though diver. Sounds like the tail of Skorvold and Timbre's PTSD mission, where they were fighting cyborgs in the jungle and were so done with the mission when they got to a bunch of survivors they both stood and looked at each other and then without a word both just gunned them all down. War is hell(diving)

We should play sometime :3

Failing an escort objective loses you some points but if you try to escort them and die you get jack shit and just have to start over. Oftentimes killing them for an easy completed objective, even if it is a failure, is the smart thing to do when you are getting your ass kicked. Fuzz is an old vet he knows the tricks

More to the point, the vast majority of advancement is tied to Research Points and Stratagem rewards, neither of which is affected by killing rescue targets- so even if you're not getting your ass kicked, just murdering them expedites getting the things you actually want.

You know it bby.
Best way to stay alive during high intensity "everything is exploding and dying" missions is to run like you've just eaten bad mexican food laced with laxatives.

Also survivor objectives are just suffering in general, if they go off-screen they die.
