Multiplayer is fun mostly because I have the Isharay which deals around 2000 damage per shot. It feels fucking amazing to one shot nullifiers and 3-shot the ascendants. Playing the Turian Soldier also means I have an absurd level of damage reduction and can take my time to snipe people right in front of me. I get something like 100 when in cover, and 300 when I'm low on health, where 100 means I take half damage.

The only time I actually die is if an ascendant catches me off guard with his one-shot kill move.

Sounds fair and balanced, PVP when?

So I find a ginormous mechanical sandworm in the middle of a random mission on Eos, the damn thing stripes my shields with a cough and calls mid tier remnant units as cover every so often, but since I went infiltrator, and I was already armed with a Black widow II (Also with vintage cooling, so infinite ammo, with only a minor wait between shots to not overheat it) eventually I took it down after a fun fight.

...And then I find out that fight was supposed to be a bonus fight, and I really wasn't supposed to tackle it at level 10.
At least, after so many years, Bioware finally remembered what was it like to make a fun and challenging boss.

well, yeah, but in ME3 I didn't had any boss, even in insanity, I guess in normal the worms wouldn't shatter instantly my shields, but what's the point on playing in normal?

By fun and challenging I mean Irenicus, Demogorgon (no trap cheese) ascension modded Amelysan, the dragons, Mephistopheles or Jade empire's bullshitty final boss.

Enjoying the game so far, both the combat, story and the characters.
Spoiler:
Spent 8 hours romancing a dude in a gay romance attempt only for him to try and shoot me in the back and attempt to take over the local town. After I shot him down, the gangboss let me place the outpost, but only if I pay his extortion fee. FeelsBadMan.
I like to imagine Bioware took the entire Council and place them into Addison though.

Finished all the content for the Tempest crew, settled all the worlds, did all the relevant side-stuff. It was a good ride. I actually like the crew now and can't wait to see more. I still don't care for Suvi, Gil, and Peepoo though. The 3-4 year wait for the sequel begins since we all know they won't develop these guys further until then.

Movie night was an okay sendoff I guess.

I still consider this game deeply flawed in many areas, but if you want a good time or like Mass Effect, it's definitely worth playing.

It's a sidequest that you can do as the game goes on, with the finale happening right before the ending, called Movie Night.

I forgot to mention that my ng+ custom Ryder showed pretty good emotion. I think the face rig for default is bugged, because he looks emotionless in every scene and has a thousand yard stare.

I like how the characters complained of you trying to get natural gas, what not only would get the colony an important advantage at surviving, and also avoid a violent conflict with exiles, but eh, muh ecologism, In an irradiated hellhole that only supports a few plants and hostile bugs.

Well, I got an infinite loading screen issue and prior saves don't seem to fix the issue.
Spoiler:
After starting the A Trail of Hope mission and flying to Havarl, the cutscene plays and
the game gets stuck on a loading screen, even though the navigation UI appears and I can open the weapons tab/scanner. Kinda killed it for me, none of the partial workarounds I've seen fix it and I've let it sit for almost an hour once while I fucked off to do something else, came back to it still being stuck loading.

I... I dropped Andromeda to focus on replaying Baldur's Gate 2.

It wasn't my intent, I just wanted to remember how was it when Bioware did one of the best rpgs ever, I even thought I'd stop quickly, since I have replayed it so many times, but it got funny, and I started to look forward to some battles...

And then Persona 5 comes out in a few days, it looks like Andromeda will end up like dragon age 2, unfinished, and a target of mockery.

Have you played through it though, without holding a biased opinion beforehand? I went in without even knowing this existed a week before release, and had fun. That's why every reviewer says that at no point did they want to turn it off and stop. There's investment in it and most enjoy their time with it, even with all its flaws.

I'm not defending it, I'm just saying that not even playing it but still shitting on it renders whatever you say null and void. If you do try it, don't go into it with a thought of "this is fucking shit", because you'll find every little reason to complain and come out with a bad view.

Eh, the opinion of the gaming community won't make much of a difference. We'll probably get a sequel.

EA games traditionally sells better the more flak it gets from the community, and vice versa.
Battlefield 1 received shit for not being WW1 enough and still being a battlefield game, and has roughly 100k players on all three consoles.
Star Wars Battlefront received shit for being too simplistic and casual, and is getting a sequel.
Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare was said to be EA's doing and PopCap's downfall, yet it's alive and thriving with a sequel and a healthy player base.
FIFA receives shit annually for having an atrocious microtransactions system and for not being innovative, yet is one of the top selling games year-to-year.

Conversely, we have Titanfall 2, which received critical acclaim is now suffering a dying playerbase problems and peaks at 3k players on the PC, while Mirror's Edge: Catalyst was received meh-ly and sold meh-ly.

The truth of the matter is that while ME:A is a poor RPG game, it is still one of the best triple A space exploration game made to recent date, if only for a lack of competition.

going to take a moment to go off topic and say that if you think 3k players is "dying" you haven't played a dying game

I won't deny that they got shafted on the sales and everything and the playercount isn't as high as it could be, but seriously, 3k players at peak times is far FAR from dying
