Regarding pawns:

Even if you dont want to change your pawns remember to check in regularly at the Riftstone anyway.
If the pawn you're using has been updated, you'll get the latest version of it.

Vice-versa, periodically stay at one of the Inn's. It re-ups your own pawn to the rift and checks to see if they've earned any items or Rift Crystals for being someone's buddy.

But yeah my pawn is coming along nicely. I talked her through some shit at the knowledge table to have her kill enemy ranged attackers first, then focus on weakpoints of the strongest guy in the area.
She's in her mid 20's now I think. I'm saving up to get her Gamble shot, when she'll start shitting all over big guys like Ogres, Giants, Drakes, etc.

Cant wait until the server is actually working properly. Gonna be gud.

I'm training a QT sorcerer pawn, then I'll use ranger and mage pawns as support, cant decide between MK, MA, and warrior. Did an Assassin on the consoles so I want to try something new.

I've killed two bosses way above my skill level by them accidentally falling off a ledge mid-fight.

Being Arisen ain't easy.

Also this game managed to make using bows in a game actually more fun than killing something with swords. Good job, Capcom.

I wouldn't know, I kill things with the primal forces of the elements themselves while laughing maniacally.

Seriously though, my typical battle sequence is just "Cast Necromancy -> Reposition -> Cast Maelstrom and watch anything that tries to attack me and interrupt casting get carried off into the air by a skull -> Watch everything die in a giant fucking tornado"

Maelstrom OP.

So does this game have a magic system similar in any way to Two Worlds II? Or is it just static spells.

It's just static spells, but there's a) a lot of them that vary by class (for example, Magic Knight and Magic Archer have their own unique spells, rather then just getting some of the sorcerer's spells and some of the archer and knight abilities), and b) they can be cast for a longer time to increase the effect once they are upgraded.

Heads up to anyone who uses my pawn: I'm restarting because I'm just... I'm just fucking BORED with sorcerer. The spells are cool as hell, but there's no precision or real sense of timing for me- just stand behind the pawns, bewyewyewyewyewyew 30 seconds later everything dies.

I'm gonna try Strider into Ranger or Assassin.

New pawn will still probably be a warrior.

note: I know you can change classes, but I'm like 40 levels into pure mage/sorcerer.... though I guess I could go Magic Archer?
hm. I'll try that and get back to you, maybe I'll just set up another steam account and use sharing.

EDIT: magic archer b fun

There's no reason to restart.

You've leveled up your magic attack and mage/sorcerer?

Great. Buy up the augments for those two classes and switch to Mystic Knight(?) or Magic Archer.
Both are top-fucking-tier. Both get a boost from having a jacked magic attack.

I hired some filthy loli in the streets of Gran Soren.

Gave her five stars for appearance, no stars for anything else
And gave her an absorbent rag as a present

10/10 game
