it's steam message format so i'm the one calling him a loser but i can understand the confusion

anyways, looking forward to it, seems like it's gonna be a sci-fi vermintide but I really hope the loot drop system (if there is one) is better than vermintides because the grinding really took away from the game.

I cheatengined vermintide's loot and never once regretted it. The loot system was, in fact, shit.

Yes

RNG loot is an awful thing
RNG cosmetics? Sure. RNG weaponry that you actually need for the game? No.

I don't suppose anyone has the boardgame version of Space Hulk on steam and wants to play?

http://store.steampowered.com/app/242570

Up to 4 players(Though this limits you to only a few maps)

I have it, havent played it in ages though. There's also thr option of using tabletop sim to play and just giving out squads to people.

Looks interesting but I'd rather hold on to my sheckles until the reviews start pouring in. From what I've seen so far the devs' games have generally received kind of eh reviews on Steam and Metacritic.
An0n3 wrote:I think how terrible E.Y.E. is yet how awesome it is at the same time is a credit to Streum's creativity and gameplay goals.

With E.Y.E. they made a game that's half out of this world and have total shit. If they could just get half-decent at the shit parts, they'd be making solid gold games. I'm hoping GW will stand over their shoulder a bit on this one in terms of quality-control and we'll end up with that kind of success.

But yeah. Four player co-op stomping around in derelict spaceships as a badass in gigantic power armor smashing through hordes of space bugs? Even if you push all the 40k lore to the side and say "Don't give a fuck" the core gameplay looks fucking awesome.

EDIT: Also when watching that video make sure to notice all the scenes in which the player's legs are damage
I love E.Y.E. but I get the impression the devs tried to handle way too much with too small of a budget. There's a lot of cool stuff that works great and then stuff that could be great but are ultimately hampered by a flawed execution. My biggest gripe is the level design though. There's so many expansive levels that ultimately feel dull and two dimensional. First one that comes to mind is the second main mission. You're surrounded by tons of sky scapers but ultimately the level is limited to the streets with only a couple of quest specific buildings you can actually enter. It's a perfect opportunity for a level that makes great use of verticle space that ultimately goes to waste.

The second level is full of vertical spaces you can use if you invest in super jump legs or teleportation shit.

You gotta invest for that shit, it aint free. If you want to be spiderman climbing all over the place and using the terrain to the most you have to acquire the abilities that let you do that.

Apparently the 15% off pre-order bonus is only a part of the Focus Interactive sale and will go away soon.
It's not actually a pre-order bonus at all.

All things considered it's only $6 so if you're on the fence about the game probably not going to make or break your purchase. If you know for sure you are going to buy the game before it comes out, though, you should move your ass and get it just to save the $6.

I don't care what you think about Warhammer or 40k or Left 4 Dead type games or how your parents didn't hug you enough or maybe they hugged you too much or you grew up under some major powerlines. Fuck off already, seriously.

It's a game where you and three of your dudes get to be big dudes in power armor with fuckin' miniguns and hammers smashing the shit out of a ton of bugs. If that concept alone doesn't grab you great, don't buy the game.

But if you think anyone actually cares about your list of grievances with the genre or whatever get real man.

We just want to co-op and smash bugs together.

Dude kills bug is like the core gameplay element to a lot of games that are stupid fun. Helldivers. EDF. Most recently Space Beast Terror Fright. For a good number of us all we needed to see was a dude pointing a gun at a spess bug and pulling the trigger with the words "Four player co-op" under it and we were sold.

Try all of games workshop. Ground marines and crossovers, are great, right? How about moving all the lore into the 42nd Century and getting more books out about the two blandest IG copyrightable Astra Militarum heroes, fat cigar general and commissar claw? I know! Remove Slaanesh because why are they interesting at all? I mean, space marines have no dicks and neckbeards don't get girls so what could chaos ground marines do with slaanesh? Get really big drums? Drop the bass like a rapper pretending they have a mic and that instruments aren't needed for anything pleasant to listen to? Get a leader that's half snake thanks to a talking sword?

Did they actually remove Slaanesh or did I mishear at some point?
Slaanesh got removed from Age of Shitmar to make it friendlier to younger players, AKA shit. He/She isn't retconned out of existence, but has apparently just disappeared.

The Old World was darker than 40k at times; in 40k many people doing awful things had the somewhat legitimate excuse of existing in a broken system that left them without other options. The Old World had much more people being shitty to each other just because they could.

Age of Sigmar definitely cut that shit right out. There's no just being shitty anymore, there's two easily defined groups- the Good Guys (whoo) and the Bad Guys (grrr) who are conveniently color coded. But the bad guys don't really commit atrocities because everything is nice and defensible, they just lose and shake their fist at that Sigmar like saturday morning cartoon villains.

new trailer

also single player confirmed
There is a real solo campaign taking place in 9 levels. You play with 2 NPC teammates with a good AI (not simple bots). You can give them a dozen of different orders in order to employ the best tactics to crush your enemies. There is also hacking of some in-game elements. During the exploration of the Space Hulk, you can rediscover old and forgotten relics.
So it is playable in coop, but solo is not the coop campaign with bots taking place of players. The gameplay is actually quite different between solo and cooperative and focus has been made on the story.

One thing i loved about Vermintide was that it was one of the only games i have ever played that made fighting with blunt weapons feel effective and satisfying, as opposed to most games having them feel like wiffle ball bats regardless of how much actual damage they do. This trailer makes me think that the thunder hammers and power mauls are going to be just as much fun to use, and i cant wait to purge some fukken xenos

There are shotguns in the WH40k universe but I don't know if any of the armies of the Imperium use them.

The Adeptus Arbites have them and hive gangers use them too (though a shittier version).

Shotguns are an equipment choice for Cadia, Krieg, and Elysian drop troops. Spesse murine scouts can get BIGGER AND BETTER ones and bolters can take a shrapnel round but storm bolters have no special ammunition rules and, considering they jam constantly anyway, probably cant feed more exotic bolts properly WRONG SHOTGUN ROUNDS. FUNNILY ENOUGH theres a specialist shotgun designed for clearing space hulks but its chapter specific to the Deathwatch

Imperial Guard could get shotguns, basically trading rapid fire for assault 2 18 inch range. Only useful if you plan on charging in to melee. Only really works if you are looking to tarpit/are assaulting a soft target like Tau.

Looks like Apothecary and Tactical Specialist will be the designated babysitters must have at least one of each in a squad etc. etc.

It might be like Vermintide where you can't take multiples of the same class.

If the classes were actually people with names and not just generic names for squad roles I might be more inclined to think that way but as is I kinda doubt that.

BRB watching trailers to see if I can confirm multiples of the same guy in footage.
