That way you can see people's shadows around a corner and you don't see the plants they use to hide

I play on a laptop and I had to edit a few .ini files plus steam launch options to get it to run, and it still lags pretty bad but it's also fun. I've gotten up to 30th by camping in the middle of the map and getting lucky with one kill for a dude who walked in on me with my double barrel

The VSS is garbage but it's also completely and utterly silent at 200m

The scope you can't change also can't be zeroed for anything but 100m which on a rifle is hot trash

And they added wooden bars to all the apartment building windows so you can't Batman out of them anymore when you hear doors open
And cars aren't guaranteed in garages anymore
And the network lag got far worse

Yeah. It's subsonic so the muzzle velocity is slow, but its shouldn't be slower than a crossbow bolt. I had a hard time hitting anything. That said ammo for it is plentiful, and it has full auto you can use in a pinch, unlike other sniper rifles.

Lag is overwhelming.

But I like the dotted line that shows you shortest route to border.

Cars were never guaranteed in garages.

I play it, it's a lot of fun honestly. There's a good mix of hilarity and tension. Still buggy though, which can infuriate you after the initial charm wears off.

I mean stuff like like planetside or battlefield that takes the purity of shooters, where its all about the player's own skills, and sullies it with shitty RPG mechanics that unbalance things by having persistent stat boosts like extra armor/hp and weapons that are a lot better than the starting shit (although I will say planetside generally did well at making weapons only sidegrades, for the most part).

Guns have different stats, and there's different types of armor, but that's all. There's no starting gun. Everyone starts empty and has to find something. The persistent metagame is purely cosmetic.

Bought it today and put about 4-5 hours in with 2 friends, managed to win once among dozens of fuck-ups, including ramping a buggy into an infinite spin that barreled towards a red-zone.

Wouldn't mind playing with others, I can actually hit a moving target to an extent if that helps.
