Any of you nerds wanna host a server and play some Terraria?

i'll probably tag along when my computer is fixed. why the fuck does terraria not have cloud

I've hosted Terraria servers dozens of times.
Although I tend to only be able to host 3-4 people maximum because I'm a shit host, and I use hamachi, so there's that to consider as well.
Is anyone still interested in this though?

Oh yeah, I also have two extra copies of this if anyone wants it.

Super necro post. The 1.3 update came out an hour ago. Apparently its huge.

My usual skype group is being dicks about playing this, so if a server goes up I'd be game as long as I can use my current 1.3 character.

I tried to host a Terraria server for /tg/station once

It got griefed almost immediately. People bombed a hole straight down from the spawn into the darkest depths of hell. Newfags spawned and immediately plummeted to their death endlessly.

Then someone else upped the ante and I got DDOS'ed for two days straight.

There's been people still joining friend-only server and griefing them. So if you're gonna put up a server, put up a password for peeps you can trust.

Been doing eveyrthing pre-hardmode on Expert Mode. The EoC shield is a freakin' beast.

I also like it. Everyone else I was playing with seemed to hate it. It's a good surprise fuck-you to people who get too close, and it ramps you up to sprinting speed immediately.

This just in: solo hardmode pirate invasions are a fucking bitch when they happen first thing after beating wall of flesh.

I had to spend a few minutes cleaning up all of my own tombstones once the carnage was over.

Motherfucking yoyo's with the yoyo bag accessory are top-fucking-tier holy shit. Two yoyos and two counterweights flying all over the fucking place. Bonus points if you also equip a magma shard so they're flaming yoyos.

Do we have a dedicated TG server?

Not AFAIK. I've been goofing off randomly on different servers and my own non-expert world.

I enjoy Terraria, and would love to play with you guys I am trying out Expert mode right now, and I am getting DOMINATED.

I'm currently stuck on expert-mode skeletron, the damn thing survives even platforms filled with spiky balls. Might try beenades later today.

Advices :

Build a multi-layer platform arena. Also shug down a Ironskin, Endurance and Switfness Potions.

Get that EoC Shield+ Hermes Boots. EoC can dash in mid-air, and activates the Hermes boots dash immediatly.

Once he starts doing his head spinning jig, use the EoC shield to get the fuck out of dodge. Really, once he's handless, the only threat is the spin, so focus on dodging that.

I've killed skeletron on my first serious try in Expert Mode. Mind you, I did cheat a bit : I brought the nurse in so I could get a quick heal in case of trouble.

HOW TO WIN WITH FISHING: A GUIDE

• 1. spawn
• 2. build a house for the guide and merchant out of dirt and add minimal furniture
• 3. kill slimes and make torches, put torch in each house
• 4. earn enough dosh for the merchant to move in
• 5. buy bug net
• 6. make wood fishing pole, smash rocks and grass n shit to get worms/grasshoppers
• 7. go to the ocean and fish a shitton
• 8. enjoy your cloud in a bottle, hermes boots, molten pickaxe, and cobalt chainsaw without ever going underground

p.s. you'll probably have enough bars to make metal armor from all the crates you'll be looting and the bait that comes from them is enough to keep you fishing pretty constantly

I'm trying to build this goddamn boss arena for hardmode fuckers and I'm missing the most essential part.

Time to go generate some garbage worlds and just tear through them looking for valuables before nuking them.
