Splatoon 2 is getting a paid update 3.0

Playable Octolings, new campaign story with 80(?) missions, new stages, music, and +100 gear. It's a huge update and pretty much makes it Splatoon 3 without splitting the playerbase

I've been playing a shtton of Splatoon 2 recently. Got really good with the Carbon/Splat Rollers and hit all the S ranks.

that reveal of the expansion made me vaguely uncomfortable

i love splastoon i cant wait

hoping for a new game mode and weapon type as well out of this. If not a game mode at least a new salmon run map.

I'll still buy it if it's mostly SP focused but it would be super exciting for a new weapon type especially because it'd more or less guarantee more content updates to add additional weapons

Glad the post launch support for this game has been so heavy, it's one of my favourite games ever

Update is really good. What the campaign in Splatoon 2 should have been.

Really spicy difficulty, too. Took me some 20 tries on that secret boss.

Holy fuck I'm still just on the normal levels and some are hard as balls but it's really fun.

The eightball/baller stages could be pretty fucking frustrating but I still enjoyed them, it was really neat to see the variety in level design they managed.

Just beat it yesterday and that finale was fucking incredible, holy shit.
