Bottom post of the previous page:

1) Courier mods. #1 must have DLC for the amount of insanely good add-ons it brings to the game.
2) Overkill DLC. Gets you the chaingun (kinda meh) and the RPG-7 (god-tier must have weapon)
3) Shotgun DLC. All them shells baybee. Weapons are all okay, but the shells are really the important get.
4) Ak/Car pack, if you use those weapons. Elevates the weapons in those packs to god-tier. The AMR-16 especially.
5) Other character DLC you may not have. Get them perk decks.
6) The BBQ pack gets you the flamethrower (it's FUN) the stakeout AA-12 (it's FUN and REALLY GOOD) and a grenade launcher (kinda meh but still FUN). Also gives you molotovs to throw, incendiary grenade rounds, and dragon's breath shotgun rounds (all of which kill my hostages and make me cry)

Alright cool. I will pick a few of those up.

I am thinking of switching to a tankier build as I do not seem to be excelling as much in a support role now that i have been out of the game for so long. Not to mention i dont think i could really pull my weight in the deathwish runs that you guys generally do, other than staying out of the way in a stealth run

Shiiiiet, the SMG in the Biker DLC is goddamn awesome. It's pretty much a reskin of the Krinkov but still. Not tried the shotgun yet, but the numbers look pretty impressive for it. My only concern with it would be ammo management

I honestly recommend skipping all the DLC except ones you ABSOLUTELY want to have. Unless it's a sale, in which case grab whichever looks decent enough.
Courier one is actually important for easy access to lasers and flashlights, and some other weapon customisation items that are actually pretty good. Probably actually one you should get if you want to do DW easily.
But that's where my opinion begins to differ from An0n3's.

In my opinion:
RPG is crap. You're better off finding a sustainable solution than the RPG's 'OH SHIT' button, since you don't get to use it much. Unless you like teamkilling. I'm fairly sure that was the only weapon that can teamkill, and to be fair that can be very amusing if you bring a pub who isn't expecting it.
If you must do massive amounts of damage, sniper pack. Though it will still be a specialist weapon and you're going to use your secondary most of the time instead.

Shotgun DLC is not important at all. Shells are neat but ultimately not that useful. Want to shoot at range? Get a rifle. Want AP? Get the skill for it. Want to light enemies on fire? BBQ pack. More damage? It's a shotgun, how are you not killing things with it as is? I main shotguns and I ended up not using any shotgun pack stuff. It's just not that good when it comes down to it.

Can't say much on the AK/Car, I suppose if you like those weapons a lot and how they handle you can get it. I personally don't like them at all, so I didn't.

Best perk decks as far as I can tell are free, get only the ones you know you will use. Or you're just wasting money on stuff that's going to collect virtual dust, you can only have one active at a time. That said, some people do love their alternate characters and I know people who bought heister DLCs just to use that heister ingame.

BBQ pack I'd actually recommend if you're there for the FUN. I disagree with the AA-12 being good, but I suppose you can find a use for it if you really try hard for it. Flamethrowers are not efficient or effective on high difficulties, but it's pretty amusing to see them dance. Molotovs are decent at low difficulties, but they lose their use pretty quickly.

Also don't bother getting heist packs unless you're the host often, only the host needs the heist DLC to bring in people and play it

Rust's SMG is fucking amazing, especially if you're trying to play a high conceal silent killer build. Medium surpressor, the short barrel, and the vintage mag can get the conceal up to 25 or 26 while having a 22 round mag, 90 total ammo, and dealing over 100 damage per shot.

His shotgun, unfortunately, sucks shit.

The damage is great. The firing speed is great. You can get the accuracy down so low you pull the trigger once and everything in front of you dies.

Unfortunately you can only carry 21 FUCKING SHELLS for it for some ridiculous reason. I have to wonder if this is some kind of fucking bug? REALLY!? 21 SHELLS!? It's ammo is so low you're playing the lottery on pickups, a lot of them will give you 0 primary ammo.

Fucking worthless just because of that. 21 rounds holy shit what the fuck why.

I'm still playing around with his deck but the armor/health regen, even with Frenzy on, is still really low and slow. It's kinda neat that you can force yourself back into armor by killing someone but you get so little back and people will just keep shooting you such that you can't really tank anything with it. There are no restrictions on any of its functions so you may as well ICTV up if you're going to use it.

I still can't get over that ammo though. Only 21 rounds. The damage is not high enough to justify that. I have no idea why they chose that value. It has the least amount of ammo of all shotguns. Even less than the Judge, Mosconi, or Joceline. Holy fuck.

Frenzy really doesn't work with the health regen decks. The penalty is too much for it to matter, plus if your armour goes down then you're pretty much fucked either way.

Anyone tried the throwing axes yet? I know none of the throwing weapons beyond grenades are really worth much of a damn, but I love throwing axes so I might try them.

I actually forgot the pack came with throwing axes. I've had molotovs as my throwable for ages and I had no real reason to change from them. Haven't touched that category in ages

Since it's a triggered boost of health and not a constant regen (like Muscle or Crew Chief) it works just fine.

I put together a build last night that's damn near useless for combat but can open basically anything.

Full drill skills, extra shaped charges, safe-picking, a spare ECM, and a saw. If you can get me to it, I can loot it.

After playing with Biker more, it's like more consistent Grinder or Sociopath but it takes much longer to get all your stuff back. You're always gaining health and armor, just not a whole lot of it. It's less risky than the other decks and rewards cautious play. The ability for other players' kills to reward you is very handy, and I wonder how a gang of four players all using Biker would work out.

The deck plays well with ICTV, and handles Frenzy okay. If your armor is busted you'd normally be gaining 15 HP per kill (with the deck maxed) but Frenzy will reduce that to only 7HP. But since all damage is reduced 60% courtesy of Frenzy that 7HP counts like roughly 12HP. On the flipside since you're running around with at most 30%HP all your kills will grant at least 12 armor, which acts like roughly 17 armor.

That's pretty damned good, especially considering your teammates are triggering that armor too, you can pile it onto Bullseye's 25 armor for a headshot every 2 seconds, and you can trigger that effective 17 armor up to 10 times per 25 seconds. But because of Frenzy reducing your hp to max 30% that cooldown is actually 10 times per 18 seconds...and as your armor decreases that cooldown gets faster as well.

Basically if you have a big damage gun with a big magazine and are good at controlling fire you can burst your health and armor back up pretty quickly. You're not immortal but the ability to dig yourself out of a hole by killing everything around you is pretty handy. Of course a horde of guys all gunning you down at once will still slaughter you but against small packs and when guarding a chokepoint it's pretty damn good.

I've been using it in an ICTV with a Stakeout, Overkill, and Frenzerker and it's pretty nuts.

More like "ah fuck fuck fuck I'm gonna play for real for the first time what the fuck do I do".

Though I'm leaning towards engineering stronk. Turrets sound fun, and silenced drills sound useful.

I infamy'd. Not sure why because you don't actually get anything out of it

Turrets are real good at area denial, definitely worth it.
Silenced drills isn't that useful compared to straight up drill time upgrades. Unless you do stealth, then they're useful in..Uh
Bank? Fuck, I think silenced drills are pretty useless game mechanics wise, but fuck hearing the drill. It's a comfort thing to silence them

Currently infamy lowers each tree's top tier req by one or something?
It still does something but I forget what exactly.

The first infamy is the worst, grinding all the way back up to the top with only a slight exp boost sucks.
After that though the exp boosts really add up and you start rocketing through levels all the time.

I purposely layer team boosts on my weapons as well when playing with bro's so I'll give you another bonus 6%

I picked up playing Payday 2 again and holy shit it's so easy now

I'm level 70 or so and I managed to get 4/5ths of the way through Deathwish counterfeit with some meme guns (dual krinkovs and a Mac 10) and no real comms with my pubby team, and we only died when we all ran off alone, and even then it took us a long time to die. Playing Overkill is like playing hard on the original Payday now, when did everything get so easy?

Even without communication there's a lot of synergy you can turn on to make the game much easier.

GRAND DAD, a gambler, and a maniac running around together are practically invincible.

I think a lot of people, and I've been guilty of this too until recently, figured the way to break the game was to run OP solo builds. Crook. Grinder. Armorer. Sociopath. Etc.

If you really want to tilt the scaled of balance over and just waltz through everyone as a group those team-based decks are actually pretty ridiculous. The only one that doesn't stack very well is Crew Chief.

Re: Payday 2

Counterpoint: Crook is a team oriented build when you constantly are picking your bros up off the ground because they keep hitting the floor like they are slipping slipping on banana peels every 5 seconds.

That said Grandad with an RPG is like the most legit thing ever, he pushes any soloist deck up to a truly ridiculous point and can take care of some really problematic situations.

So i made the account like 6 years ago when I was a brony. I played xbox alot back then and was in a halo clan called the Rainbow Ponies. Each person had a mlp characters name. I was Fluttershy. So Rainbow Pony Fluttershy was me. Rpfluttershy for short.
