As we know, Olden Ring drops tomorrow.

Everybody loves these games apparently and J.R.R. Tolkien himself worked on this one.

So I think it deserves a thread, and I've created a poll to stimulate discussion.

After 30 hours, I need a little bit of a break. I loosely remember the devs saying, elden ring was supposed to be a little easier than dark souls? Because from how I am seeing it right now, I'm having genuinely the hardest time out of any of the dark souls games so far.

Definitely noticeable: There is a LOT more AoE shit packed in there, and these vary in their extremes to be either near-instant in their activation, or in their ridiculous size. Makes meleeing a lot more frustrating, to the point where I even started cheesing some of the worst offenders. I'm all for challenge, but when I'm feeling like I'm playing dance dance revolution instead of my beloved dark souls clone, maybe you overdid it.

Also worth noting, you'll be facing flying and horseback-riding enemies, and both of them have been very obnoxious so far. Both have in common, that you can't hit them for shit, one because it is hovering above you, the other because it is zooming around with formula-1 speed and will always break off the melee and spend a minute exploring elden ring, before coming back to land a single hit on you and repeat the process.
Hopefully, there won't be many more of these, or at least, implemented better.

i have 130 hours on my mario and completed the game with most side stuff
there'd be more if i could be bothered to replay the game and get all the other endings and some quests i missed the first time around
i'll probably make a luigi for low level invasions though and fuck around a bit

anyone know a good place to grind for runes???

if you're low level and need a few levels to get started, the giants up on the springstep jump thingie at the gatefront ruins
if you're higher level, that steep incline on the easternmonst grace at mohg's palace
if you haven't been there yet, either
