Fighting games have always had a problem with DLC. Instead of adding gameplay elements, they just add more costumes and shit that doesn't add anything.

As much as I wished they didn't add such a stupid concept as this, I can't really fault them that much for it.

The fact that people refuse to buy the game because of this is a bit off putting though.

The "easy fatalities" can also be found in the Krypt. They're really only useful if your a spaz and can't remember your fatalities when playing online (therefore can't pause and look up your fatality).

Jesus it really is just like costumes. Just extra cosmetic shit in DLC.

What DLC could work well with fighting games anyway? I understand some extra characters, but what else?

FYI if you're dumb enough to buy a fighting game on PC, the port of this game is BROKEN. Content is missing everywhere.

I'm pretty sure that was only a launch issue. It seems fine now, I'm able to play Story mode and shit. I would play online, but the game's just barely playable for me after turning literally every video option to the lowest it can go

Yeah bought Mortal Kombat (I)X a few days ago. Good stuff, pretty fun.

There is literally no missing content. The only issues the PC version has is some (rather drastic) FPS drop on anything but low settings and some matchmaking issues. The FPS lag is a product of poor optimization and you can get around it by turning down most of the settings to compensate until you hit a reasonable level. (You should probably be doing that anyway if you play fighters seriously.) The matchmaking issues come from NRS being retarded enough to listen to players that didn't want to be regionlocked out of games by players being able to limit their match making searches to their local regions (the sort of thing that SF4 and every other PC fighter allows for obvious reasons) so instead of consistently getting players from your home region (or country) you have just as much of a chance of getting Pedro from Mexio or Jamal from the UK. This has caused most of my ranked games to either be functionally underwater or DC before the first round is over.

In other news, Kung Jin is braindead as hell and D'Vorah is great.
