So any of you faggots picked this up yet? It's a 4X game and reminds me a lot of the Civ series. You can create your own ships and race as well.

So far I've taken a fairly peaceful route aside from crushing the shit out of one race for referring to my people as infidels. There's enough room in space for everyone but there isn't enough room in space for space hajjis.

Ok I'll admit that's a pretty amusing race.

I really wish you could design a custom race's ship template, just so I can go nuts and make races from hundreds of different IP's and get sued (Babylon 5 here I come!)

Nonetheless I've found Galciv 3 to be really fun and enjoyable, its essentially a refinment of Galciv 2 but its still very good at what it does.

E: Also screw the Altarians and the Krynn Syndicate. The Krynn consistantly always declare war on me in every single game I've played (once it was within 5 turns of my discovering them) while the Altarians always get pissed off with me.

The Kyrnn are total dick bags yeah. They were the race I actually declared war on, mainly because early in the round they established a mining base in my sector, mining my previous duranium. Add for the Alterions, they're basically hippy cunts who think we should all hold hands and eat tofu together and hug so fuck them too.

It is really annoying when other races set up mining stations within your territory and the only recourse you have is to either declare war and blow up their station or buy the station from them for thousands of credits. Whereas the AI will ask/demand you decommission your starbase.

I didn't even realize this was out yet, I played the shit out of Galactic Civ 2.

Some of the dialogues and descriptions are pretty kek in this. On the other hand, house-sized worms. Also HFY, we're going to burn the galaxy, enslave the machines and kill aliens because we're humans. Fuck Thalan Contingency, those creepy alien fucks who want to kill humans just because we are going to murder the universe.

The Thalan do seem weird as a civilization in the main game simply because they are shown off as a advance civilization from another timeline that came back in time to stop some kind of human crusade that would destroy the universe, yet they are stuck with the same crappy technology that all the other races have?

Fortunately they tend to be quite easy going diplomatically wise.

I usually end up declaring war on them if they have no already done so to me.

They're always eternally pissed off with me, must be my pragmatics.
