I'm sort of surprised I couldn't find a thread that already exists about this game

For those of you unaware, Chivalry: Medieval Warfare is a game kind of like War of the Roses expect the skill cap is centered around doing crazy bullshit acrobatics like reverse overheads

It goes on sale really often for around $5. I'll happily teach it to people if and when they buy it.

Dumb question but how customizable is it's heraldry and colors?

in WOTR you can make up whatever you want.

in Chivalry I don't think you can customize anything

There's like 200 or so emblem options and a lot of fucking colors

The tabard over your armor and your shield, if you're knight/vanguard

Changes clothing colors if you're MAA/Archer

Customization outside of FFA/Duel is limited just so you can tell the teams apart but you can still get pretty unique

i like to play knight cus im bad
I like using the SOW cus the weird timings on it seem to throw people off and they block too early and i can one hit stab vanguards in the chestpeice.
I use the morning star to kill other knights cus reach.
and then i like the kite shield cus i think it looks cool. and I like shield bashing cus it makes me feel like a spartan from 300

SoW is a good weapon for good people morals, much like the longsword just classier

i just use a sword and play duel as vanguard
vanguard is objectively the most overpowered class

A good Vanguard will mop the floor with everyone by themselves.

The problem with a lot of Vanguard weapons is just that you would think they are penalized for their obscene reach (And for some reason speed) by having a serious windup up close... But no, point blank greatsword/claymore stabs are lightning fast.

Also if you want to win 100% just feint with the fauchard's heavy stab

Also also the roh on most vanguard weapons its fucking NUTS

just use spears and spin left to right when you stab

guaranteed goes through every single block even if they time it perfectly and it hides the animation so to time it perfectly you pretty much have to guess.

Yeah dragging spears is pretty dumb

Wasn't there a competitive community made mod of this game out there? Or is that dead and buried now?
