Keep Talking and Nobody Explodes

A game where one player tries to defuse a bomb, but the instructions are held by someone else. Cue fatal miscommunications and misinterpretations of the needlessly complicated bomb manual.

Would anyone here be interested in playing this? A mic is required, of course. You don't even need to buy the game to play, only the player acting as the bomb defuser needs to buy it.

I'm so in. I talk enough for twice the amount of people required to play.

This is such a clever, cool, and interactive concept. I saw a streamer ask for volunteers to be the manual readers and it was pretty fun.

I bought this and tried to print the manual in my dorm's public printer but then I freaked out because it was titled "bomb_defusal_manual_1.pdf"

Still expecting either my RA or the FBI to bust down my door

Wasn't one of the first comparatively viral things to spread on the early internet a recipe book for explosives, called the Anarchist's cookbook? I'm sure the FBI won't bat an eyelid at a student printing bomb_difusal_manual_1.pdf :D

it's not so bad if you are only interested in defusing bombs

I thought this game required a VR headset to play?

I'd be up for helping someone defuse some night. I have tons of experience yelling at people to get them to do things!

Spent half the timer arguing with my friend on whether the symbol looked like a melting R or 3/4's of a 3. Would recommend playing this game.

I'd definitely be up for playing this.
Anon3 I'll be your reader and sit their silently actually help you now I have a mic.

Also this reminds me of "Space Team" which is a free app game on iOS/Android (and its cross platform too!)
The idea is that you read out instructions that relate to something on someone elses "control panel". But because you don't know who has what panel you end up shouting lots of things out and it becomes like the manic bridge of a falling apart ship

"Wiggle the fluctuator"
"Turn off the main drive"
"Unhook the freebass"
"Turn the reactor to 3"
"ASTEROIDS!" (everyone shakes their phone/tablet)

Neat

I've actually got a mic now so I can talk you through defusing stuff
But more likely make a mistake or say something unclear and blow you up

I guess it'd help if we started with adding each other on steam.
