Tropico 5

So Tropico 5 came out today. If you're a fan of the series or completely new to it, I would definitely recommend it. If you haven't played Tropico 4 before, play that too. Anyway, there are some neat things that are different from Tropico 4.

-New factions (see below)
-New time lines starting from 1850 going all the way to 2030?
-MULTILAYER
-You're good El Presidente.

More to come later when I actually get to play it.

Eh, tropic 4 was just a copy+paste mess so I'd rather not--

Personally I loved Tropico 4.

Literally the only downside to getting Tropico 5 right now is that if you preordered, you got Tropico 4 and omerta city of gansters.

So wouldn't get those. That's pretty much the only downside of getting Tropico 5

Personally I will wait until kalypso will release some sort of "complete edition" with million crappy little DLC that will have come out by that point. If not for the fact that Kalypso loves to make those, I'd be all over the game.

i pirated it and i'm all over it anyway
but i will buy it eventually, i promise

Having fun so far, I've completed the colonial eras of both starting islands, and I figured out on fortunata island or whatever, when the foreign army invades, they simply target your military areas and then leave, starts the quest for the ceasefire. I kind of banged my head against the keyboard against this one until I finally just let it happen and poof.

Lot of fun, but REALLY different from tropico 4 so far

Do you mean the first island second mission?

I'm honestly having a blast. But it is slightly frustrating to not have quite all the information for factions like we did last time.

Then again, I'm still in the world war era. Go Allies, axis a shit, axis worst, remove axis

Im pretty much where your at right now with the rebels invading your island just to attack your military infrastructure and leave. After spending $20,000 to weaken the invasion force they got wrek'd if you pop military drills and make it mandatory for soilders to be highschool or better education.

I would be down for some multiplayer. I'm on in the mornings and late night. I work full time so I only have Wednesday Thursdays off.

So I won that war mission but lost a bunch of things because retarded army bases didn't want to be finished after the timer ran out because they couldn't export 200 more of the fucking rum

Evidently I lost my only construction office in that mission

Now I'm back to this island and there is no construction office

It doesn't want to rebuild ruins or build a new office saying that it's too far from a road connected to a construction office

So I guess the campaign is over now?

This is just sad

Just build a road and place a new construction office next to it, build it next to any road or next to any other building and you'll be able to build it. Just make sure you dont have to place/build the road at a weird angle, or it's going to say road is too sharp or something.
I'm on the 7th stage and I have so much shit that needs to be constructed that I have about 10 constructors offices.
