I think there was a pen & paper of that. I can't remember the name of it for the life of me, and Google isn't helping either. You were with a band of other player orks on this shitty desert planet that was about to be burned up by the sun and you had to level up get big, get mean and smash some gits so you could leave the place with your ork followers.

40k Space Marine was fucking baller. Real great TPS. Dawn of War I was also good, as was Dawn of War II which are both RTS though both are very different as to how they play. I'd say DoW 1 is a bit better though since it's more traditional and I feel a lot more action packed even though it is kinda old by now.

Most fun to be had in the game was just going up in the hills with a friend as a two-man sniper team and harassing the shit out of enemy columns or forts. It was one of the only things that felt like it actually worked.

Man I actually kinda miss Age of Reckoning. Was in a PVP-RP guild. It was an ork guild. Played an especially retarded black orc named "Goatjaw Stinkteef". PvPed in world pvp as a mob of ork assholes talking in character while stompin bitches.

Honestly there's only one way to play Planetside 2. If you just go in either alone or with friends you're gonna have a terrible time and it's gonna be boring. You need to join one of the guilds, there's dudes in there who will organize like 500 dudes to either go and do small ops and take tons of shit around the maps and just get shit done. I joined one a long time ago that I can't remember the name of and I had a fucking blast. Managed to fully cert out my Combat Medic and even get some cosmetics.

Rome 2 was a catastrophe and no amount of apology patches could fix that game, and the DLC was worse than Shogun 2's. Total Warhammer has Chaos as a pre-order DLC, in a game with only 4 playable factions at launch.


Speaking of Planetside 2, I purchased a month's subscription to Planetside (never played it before) in order to get into the Planetside 2 beta, and it was immediately clear to me that the older game was superior in almost every way.

Playing ig really gives the best stories though, just because they are perpetually the underdog. I have killed a tyranid trygon prime with a lasvolly. I have a squad of Veterans with shotguns charge an avatar of khaine and kill it with knives. I had a demolition squad drop a mother fucking detpack on a squad of Grey knights paladins (terminators with two wounds) back when Grey knights were super try hard and instant killed all but one, who later got stabbed
