I swear there was a point where we were gearing up to play this as a group, I had it installed, but we never came together to actually play it.

I'm pretty sure I have both Battlezones on CD somewhere. Shame you can't plug in the key for the classic versions on Steam.

I always liked the 2 more, it was more "strategy".

Is this worth playing if I'm fucking godawful at RTS games?

Like, could I just drive around blowing shit up (which I'm very good at) while someone else does the strategy bits?

Multiplayer consists of two game modes, deathmatch and strategy. Deathmatch your just going around blowing people up but strategy you have to build bases and do RTS stuff.

The meat of the game comes from the strategy elements, however the game requires very little micro management. Your AI squadmates are pretty competent at pathfinding and fighting the enemy and the main issues you'll have are building a good fighting force composition and denying the enemy access to their resources.

Purchased. If anyone is up for fucking around multiplayer while I learn to play let me know on Steam.

I find it funny this HD remake looks worse than battlezone 2.
