Deathwing launches December 9 on PC. And open beta on November 20th for pre-orders.

At least the release date isn't pushed that far back, was always assuming the end of November based on the lack of a specific day anyways.

Things are getting leaked and NOT by me so feel free to take a look. I repeat, this is NOT from me but was posted on /v/.

-The devs are cheeky and did not announce everything in the game, such as hives (http://i.imgur.com/73YG57X.jpg)
-Apothecary is incredibly OP and Assault is UP sadly
-You get unlimited ammo
-The 1 map in the beta is about an hour long. It's a mixture of corridors that are 2 Teriminator wide and extremely dark, and large rooms. Speaking of darkness, holy shit you can barely see
-The map is not linear. There are intersections where you can choose different ways to go. It's not a maze but it's far from linear.
-The motion tracker in this game is like something from Aliens. Being in a dark as fuck hall, watching your tracker while you hear the genestealers screeching coming your way is spooky as fuck
-Framedrops are really bad right now
-Hacking doors behind you to block the hordes is actually very effective, you can hear them change their route after a door is closed to get at you again
-The heavy plasma cannon jams almost every other shot

I've seen the leaks, I'd wait until we see more maps to make relative balance calls- different map/enemy spawn design could easily favor different classes.

Kind of worried at the replayability of this game. Although flawed, vermintide's lootdrop system was a good incentive to replay missions on harder difficulties.

Whereas games like left 4 dead had a lot of modding potential.

Any vague comments you can make DPR?

There's no multiplayer cosmetic customization. They might add it later. If the rest of the levels are like the first one, which is long, then it should be fine. Imagine its replayability like Left 4 Dead. You don't earn anything (except levels and that stuff), you're just playing the same shit over and over with it being different in some way each time, and you have the freedom to make it different. Unlike L4D, the beta level is not linear and you can choose your path.

It's a game to do with 3 friends. You don't really need replayability or meta progression, but it sure would help.
I for one found Vermintide's loot system to encourage me to NOT play, actually. Because the way it was set up sucked so bad that the only thing most of my friends wanted to do were either play something else, or run black powder for 6 hours so they could get loot. And then once they got the loot they wanted they'd stop playing entirely because they burned out on it and didn't even like it anymore.

Replayability is good maps and interesting situations. Progression is nice, but it's also difficult to do without sucking the fun out of the basic gameplay

Last time I tried to play Vermintide the lobby browser was completely Horn of Magnus with a few Black Powders, grindy shit is for MMOs and is a cancerous blight thats infested FPS gaming since BF2.
