Title says it all. By the time you finish watching this you'll have snap-purchased this game. I'm not going to sell you on it because it sells itself.

There's a lot of shit we're all playing together right now, but I think we can find time for this too.
We've got a steam group going for SPESS GAMES and I'll start trying to put this on the calendar there too
http://steamcommunity.com/groups/SpessFriends

If by some chance that video wasn't enough I guess here is this website with some more information.
http://unfortunate.space/starmap/

Ideally I would like to get enough people together that we can just host our own private server and play amongst ourselves (NO PUBBIES HISSSSSSSSSSSS).

ITS SHIT ABORT ABORT ABORT

Can't wait to "accidentally" depressurize a room and watch everyone get sucked into space

EDIT: Day -1000 DLC holy fuck. Game is in early alpha and you can already buy cosmetic items for cash in their store holy cancer Batman. Hopefully nobody does. What a moron.

It looks fun, but as of yet not polished enough for my shekels.

I played one round with bots to see what was up.

I imagine it'll be pretty neat when we're using the in-game communication to accuse eachother of stuff. As is it was pretty lackluster since I was just running around beating up the incredibly stupid AI.

Even after changing into monster shape while chasing a spaceman down the hallway he didn't seem to notice or care what I had done til I had already clawed him half to death.

Im sure it'll be great once it's developed further and more people start playing it.

Im pretty sure it literally just started it's early access on steam today.

I would wait until the game is either finished or is in a much more finished state before commiting to purchasing it.

It's concept is neat but I ain't touching early access unless the product on offer is already in a enjoyable non-compleatly broken state.

Pretty much. For now there's "The Hidden".

Uhhhhh...?

It's not broken. Fun is subjective but the game that is here is a thing for human people to play and it seems to function in that regard just fine.

Its unfinished is what I'm meant to say, and there's no guarantee the game will ever be finished.

I get what you mean. For $12(?) I don't mind so much. Pulsar is a good example of a game I played a lot of recently that I definitely wouldn't call done, but was a lot of fun to play anyway because it was conceptually very unique.

I don't think this game is at all like The Hidden. There's a social aspect to this where you are lying to other players, murdering them, then adopting their color scheme later if someone spots you and trying to pass yourself off as NOT-IT.
The Hidden is just co-op pixel hunt simulator.

What times do you all normally play videyas? I'm just worried it's going to be gone midnight here. /nervously shuffles on the sidelines as everyone else has magical adventures.

It seems like lately we've been playing relatively early for EST. By like 3pm EST I think we're usually getting mixed up in some Overwatch. Not sure how consistently we'll be playing anything right now, hence why I said people should join the group and make posts so we can use Steam's calendar function to start trying to schedule play

I can't wait for when they're done with character customisation and I can make my special snowflakes.

So interestingly enough, the developer has said that they've never actually played SS13, and this is mostly inspired by The Thing.

Well, SS13 draws a lot from The Thing...

Anyways, wait for a few more patches to drop before getting this. Its unplayable right now for some folks, me included, due to crashing to desktop. Also, there doesnt appear to be any dedicated server support at the moment.

But this is something to really keep an eye on. Check back on it in a month. Or less.

If a guide is out to how to make custom maps I will go out of my way and make a 3d box station. I'm already recreating the bar in 3d for my portfolio, might as well go all out and make the entire station.

People should really give this game a try, I think we'd have a lot of fun.
Edit: Eh, after checking out Dead Lingers, it might be best to wait for awhile. At least until the next update, to be SURE they're sticking with it. I'll be keeping the game, but I'd recommend to just proceed with caution on this shit anyway.

At the moment only three of us own it, and one of us can't play. Which sucks because 2 players is exactly the number of people cannot play this game to any effect.

I think if you and I, Skorvold, just go into a pub server some evening and I stream it people will see beyond the early access. We need more people!

Alright. Sounds like a plan. Though I've only seen one pub server so far.

People reporting tons of problems connecting to servers, multiple CTD's. It seems that I'm just really lucky in getting it to work and everyone else has massive problems.

So for now just leave it alone.

Not a single game emulating SS13 really has worked out so far. I suppose at least they are trying though

All I saw was
1. Spessmen
2. Spessstation
3. It's shit

So I thought SS13

It shows a lot of promise but it needs more time in the oven to see how much of that promise it actually capitalizes on.

I'm guessing eventually I and others will end up purchasing it again when it's more feature complete and stable.
For now there's stuff like Pulsar, which is still not a finished game but is a more finished game than this and scratches some of the same itch.
