God Eater 2 Rage Burst: Monhun for PC Bro's

Neato burrito. PC finally getting a proper port of some Monhun type action. God Eater has some cool gimmicks to it, even if you're a stalwart Monster Hunter Onry fan there's some neat stuff going on here worth checking out. You always have a ranged attack, your weapon switches back and forth between a melee mode (which has some elements of typical monster hunter weapons) and a ranged mode (which is basically like an LBG).

The ranged stuff has programmable bullets, which sounds really weird but basically you create your bullet pattern in a sort of shmup style way. Do you want a scattershot style shotgun? A long range railgun type shot? Rapid fire machine gun? You can mix it up quite a bit (and trust me they're worth mixing, you can do some crazy shit that's worth experimenting it's not just "pick the railgun and never swap").

The franchise has an animated series and some other weird doodads sprinkeled around if you're curious about checking it out before the game launches. Unlike Monhun there's actually a story here, and it's continued from game to game. You might actually benefit from checking it out if you're interested in the game, I dunno. Mileage may vary.
