i wouldnt say completely ruined, but some aspects are almost irreparably damaged. for instance, everyone and their mother knows about the sans fight

Ole Gaster isn't really edgy, it's just a shot at people digging out hidden content.

Queen Alphys isn't that edgy, either, I'd actually say it's one of the more hopeful neutral endings.
At least the Underground's overpopulation problem's been resolved, right?

finally played this memery, it was pretty good I just wish it weren't so derivative of earthbound. like temmie village is basically the same gimmick as the mr. saturns, a couple of the jokes are ripped off pretty much verbatim (the "why do you keep pressing Z" one is in mother 3), obviously the concept of a leitmotif was not invented by earthbound but it's used much the same way
