It's a fucking classic.
It's also the first Source game, so expect bugs and fuckery.

Tremere OP, by the way.

Also, don't open it.

Play any clan BUT Malkavian first, and then play Malkavian.
It's like NG+, the game is quite different. Also, you should patch and mod it, to reduce bugs.

And don't open it.

It's awesome but it's also kinda shit because it was released prematurely.

Install community patch or whatever that shit is called that restores cut content and makes shit harder.

Also what Capi said. Nosferatu gameplay is kinda different to the rest too and IMO is the most fun.

I'd say any clan but Malkavian OR Nosferatu, as the Nos have that masquerade violation for walking around in public and forced stealth.

But yeah, it's a very good roleplaying/FPS hybrid with a rich story and plenty of interesting characters for you to interact with and at least 4 different endings that I'm aware of depending upon who you side with, more or less how New Vegas did it. The final boss was kinda lame but the adventure is about the journey, not the destination.

Also fuck werewolves.

Werewolves were fun and essentially free xp for killing them.

Fixed in the name of the emprah.

Also fuck Activision and Valve, for almost ruining a great game and forcing Troika games to go under.

If you'd been keeping up with the conversation it was discussing which clan to play your first run through. Neither Mal or Nos are newb friendly despite being two of the most fun clans to play.

Malks are great.
But yea, one of the reasons is they're actually really spoilerly and meta about the themes and plot of the game due to their curse and memeing bullshit. THAT'S why you avoid playing them the first time.

Nos Hardmode is just bullshit though, but in tune with the truth of the setting.

Of course with Malks you have to actually pay attention to what you're saying and think about it, because it's spoken in in-universe meme language. So that's the other catch/caveat. Also even the Player Lady Malk is probably the hugest slut(at least in appearance) aside from another story character

Yeah, and then goes to shit, because money run out.

You know, I though videogame creation wasn't lineal with studios doing some levels ahead of others, without prioritising if they came first or last in the final product, but in this game it's clear that wasn't the case.

Redemption had better atmosphere and plot.

>be crusader
>go kill a vampire or someshit
>get embraced by true brujah I think?
>ask jews for help
>waifu stolen by tzimisce
>go after waifu get buried under rocks
>get excavated 1000 years later
>fuck around in London or someshit
>fuck around New York for some reason, meet your friend from the middle ages
>get a minigun
>diablerize tzimisce in his cathedral of dicks, embrace waifu

Also there was a fight in some cathedral or somesuch at day, you had to only walk in the shadows. Was uguu~~

Gameplay was utter shit though.

Oh man such a great game. I went the extra nerd step and LARPed in this system for the white wolf fan club back in the day.

Another great game by the same development team, Arcanum!

I LARP'd for a bit in the system, but the local group had way too many a) sperglords and b) people who only seemed interested in fucking over newcomers in whatever way they could, for whatever flimsy justification was available.

I fucked off for good after a close friend's character got killed during a "wrap up" period in which powers couldn't be used for speed of play, via a method that would have obviously and totally failed had it not been for that restriction.

I survived up to that point basically only because I was willing to deal with Tremere bureaucracy BS and nobody else wanted to deal with that shit.
In game, I play the A.I Firmware, the French cyborg C.U.R.I.E, Aubrie Allen, and the lizard scum Skulks-Through-Maintenance.

Yeah similar reason I left as well. I did a stint as the Regional Storyteller and realized I could just drill my skull hourly for better entertainment out of a hobby.

I do a zombie apoc larp now and its da best.
