Why are you, a person with no involvement with us anymore in any way, bothering to post here? Can't stand a minute without having attention?

Anyway, on topic, name policies other than "don't have a stupid borderline ooc name", is stupid and is not fun for anyone.

Intigracy has decided they have some sort of beef with me, from what I can tell

This thread can probably be closed if everyone is against it and OP says "it was bait lol"

Ahelp if you hear someone shout "IT'S REV/GANGS/OPS" and we will slap their shit

tbh trying to code some sort of algorithm or code solution to stop people abusing a free text field and force it into a rigid structure just strikes me as one of those needlessly limiting things that would cause more problems than it solves

something something babies something something bathwater

edit: however, putting a link or tooltip "?" symbol that reminds people of the name policy next to the name field, or just having it appear as the description for the textbox or something would be pretty good.

The name policy is just "no nicknames and no overly OOC shit" at the moment, though

That person who had the name Osomething of Nanotrasen is now allowed to use that name, so really this thread is irrelevant
