I really should. I've been putting effort into making Rigel more and more interesting but gets thrown off because it's fun to valid on occasion.

Erik teaches drama.
It's not that he's good at it so much that it sounded like something fun to do, so the drama department never builds towards an actual quality production for the school year and usually just has individual acts by those who are brave enough to do them in the year-end talent show.
The classroom is a surreal place where making the teacher laugh or slipping him gets you points. The rest of the grade comes from the talent show and/or from behavior during the endless stream of comic recordings and videos that play while the teacher is off ERPing somewhere in the building.

Oh well, maybe I'm crazy.
The only thing August fears is Gods, deities, demons, ghosts, that sort of thing.
The possibility that, somewhere out there, that are unncorruptabke beings with more power than he could ever have, drives him to the edge.
It's a real Lex Luthor and Superman situation, just with the church.
Though he doesn't fear Cultists and Wizards because he can best them.

Rex is the asshole PE teacher who forces kids to run laps for even the slightest amount of dissent. He also runs Shop and has lost several fingers.
Chrys is a younger life sciences teacher or possibly teaching assistant who gets fired for fooling around with male students because she's desperate for unconditional attention.

I was about to ask a question to offset the dumbness set on derailing the thread, and that was it:
What does your character fear?
Erik is afraid of being alone. Because of its vastness and his never having really lived on a planet, he gets anxious about being alone in space and starts to fear, after a while, that he'll go insane and never find people again (given that most of the crew is dead by this time into a round, this isn't totally unfounded.) He feels like this because he grew up as a spacer on a large ship with hundreds, if not thousands of crew and long-term travelers - he It's one of the reasons that, when/if he gets the money to buy a ship of his own and start a private enterprise, he'll probably just invest in a nice couch or apartment and keep coming to the station as a clown or security officer - jobs where he can find and see people fairly often.
