Terick doesn't need much actual money. He has a ship to live in, but otherwise he's got a "why pay if I can steal it?" mentality. So most of said equipment on the ship has probably been stolen. The ship was probably stolen too. When August hears the first news story, he doesn't even look up from his newspaper.
When August hears the second news story, he starts barking orders and buys out the news station. He then has every single member involved in making that broadcast made into Cyborgs and puts them to work.

Did you RP any implications beyond the likely mercurial joining, such as a ~relationship~ or work troubles, lifestyle/personality changes, etc.?
Erik has become a bit more confident since his on-station trysts with Jace and somehow more often ends up in command roles because I feel like it at the time. The former of these things hasn't been very decided in its outcome yet, with both positive and negative reactions from people on-station; the second of these has resulted in increased stress, shouting, panic-drinking, and a lack of the aforementioned nookie due to DUTIES (so far as to have been BWOINKED for RPing while HoS during a wizard round after the wizard was supposedly gone/dead.) 5/10 would greytide for good times.
