/tg/Station 13

What would u do? What job would you apply for??

For me this station gets blown up to hell and back nearly every round, nukies, plasma flood, cult, changelings, lexia black. Your survival chance is honestly pretty small.

If I wanna survive this death trap here's what I'd do.

1. Hop in as an assistant

2. Go to HOP and try to get EVA access so you can explore space.

3. LEAVE THE Z-LEVEL UNTIL THE SHUTTLE IS CALLED.

If HOP is being a meanie, then try to get cargo tech from him. If you succeed, grind moneys from crates and buy your own space suit, then bounce. If that fails, go to the public mining base and hide yourself in a lavaland bathroom or something. You might die from cult or bubblegum, but your chances are MUCH safer then they'd be on station. ALWAYS GET OFF STATION

4. ???

5. Congratulations you just survived SS13, now that the round ends and all of existence fades into oblivion. Maybe go ahelp and have the government figure out how to get you out of this game. Worst case scenario you're just gonna be shoved into some real life SCP lab

2 > get drunk at the bar
3 > ???
4 > pass out

My bet for best way to actually survive would be:

Go scientist / RD
Get that slime thing that lets you make a copy of yourself
Do so a lot, hide them all over the place, including off the Z level (lavaland would do fine)
If nukies declare war, just do what OP suggested.

several questions:
- do i have immense pain resistance of a spessman
- do i have the ability to shake off practically every form of mental affliction through sheer mental disconnect
- do i have situationally infinite strength (i.e. carrying a container that has more containers that contain more container that all have heavy shit in them)
- do i have immense dexterity (i.e. prying up floor tiles and also throwing them at full power within a fraction of a second)
- do i have spessman biology that allows me to consistently get shot once in the head by a 357 revolver and still be standing, but if i am shot once in both feet i am guaranteed to be on death's door
- do i actually have to physically do things like clip wires in doors instead of press buttons on a popup window
- does reality collapse 3 minutes after the shuttle docks with centcomm
- will i get bwoinked if i kill someone

It is a reality built on ss13, not actually ss13. So I would say video-gamey mechanics like these have in-universe explanations (Extra light shrunken when-off floor tiles) (SSD) and Divine Retribuition

beg beg beg beg beg with all your might to get the shuttle called over comms. cite each and every possible inconvenience from major to minor be it stubbed toes or mass murderers on the loose, regardless of if any of it is true. you want an early shuttle call before anything truly dangerous comes around

get a welding tool and a space suit if you can. welding yourself into an escape pod with space protection will be integral to your survival, as an air leak would be lethal and other people could be traitors. a pod is the choice here as the shuttle has a much higher chance of blowing during transit up even if you get on it safely

pray that centcomm is less deadly than the station


normally i would not act with such cowardice but if it was my actual real life on the line here and i know for a fact that shit WILL go down, i would much rather get off of SS13 and onto some civilian space base somewhere as soon as possible

The spooky part about going to central command is that we don't really even know what central command is like though, i think it's worth skipping out on that deal

Works for me, antags with honor lets janitors clean the blood untouched, and they have a mutual understanding to just do the job.

step 1: join as bartender
step 2: nobody comes to bar
optional step 2.5: make in excess of 8k credits via cargo bounties which is canonically enough to buy entire shuttles, probably become rich? idk maybe it's just a VERY well paying job and not enough to catapult you straight into "I'm rich" territory
step 3: leave for a pod when the shuttle is eventually called
step 4: drink your alcohol that doesn't spill even though you piled 7 shotglasses into a cardboard box inside of your backpack
