Bottom post of the previous page:

Joey sits looking into the distance, as if he's not even paying attention to what the others are saying, before suddenly bursting out "I've never ate Leopard-style before! I'm in." You can hear the stool he's sitting on getting closer to the breaking point.

Simultaneousy, Joey's seat crumbles from under him and the chunk of table where Karag slammed his fist into the table breaks off from the rest of it.

Using the map, you figure it would take you almost 6 days to travel to the Leopard's keep and back, at least without horses. Supplies are available at the Outpost for travel.

(( Your handy dandy DM's compiled a list of things for you to buy: http://imgur.com/a/Zwcub ))

It's always good to remember to be prepared for anything while travelling. Just because you may be going to get rid of bandits doesn't mean that the land is safe enough that things won't happen on the way there. You fasten the straps on your boots and ready your gear for travel, not knowing what lies ahead.

(( When you're ready to set out, just let me know. Until then, go ahead and say what you bought if you're buying anything, and then we can get to TRAVEL RULES! ))

((Alright, here's how travel will work. The party will agree on a path to take, for example, for this expedition (and you don't have to use this specific route, just a suggestion):

Image

At our current travel rate (Read: Not everyone has a horse), about 3 hexes a day is our maximum speed. That means every three hexes/day we travel (And I'll help you keep track of days, no worry), subtract one ration from your inventory. When you start getting too low on food, bad things happen. Pray you never have to make me look up the rules for what happens. Along the way, sometimes you'll get random encounters. These AREN'T always combat encounters by any means. Sometimes things just happen. It's a big world out there. Eventually, you'll reach your destination or a stop on the way, discover new things, etc. and they'll be added to the map as a result. Eventually, you're going to have to step outside your comfort zone and start exploring past the starting areas.

Also, question. Anyone have any qualms with setting a party limit for single expeditions? That way when we finally do hit 10 we won't be horribly lopsided party-wise.))

((The party is Wyzack, An0n3, Wiznard, Table, and Galvy))

You get to your feet, ready to set out on an adventure that nobody outright says you might not come back from. Before you step back out into the freezing cold, one of you spots a poster on the wall.

Image

((If one of you wants to collect the poster just say so, gonna make them for just about every monster/character with a contract on them, Wild West-style.))

As you step outside of the Outpost, you spend a long time trudging through the constantly-falling snow. It's not long before your teeth begin to chatter. With only Marko on a horse, you still travel about as fast as you would with nobody on a horse, but at least one of you can make a speedy escape or rush any would-be highwaymen... Well, they'd be highwaymen if there were highways, at least.

There's no real roads in Knoss anymore, though you get a feeling there might have been at one point. You don't imagine you're more than a few miles away from the Outpost and it feels like you've been walking for ages. Fast winds whip freezing-cold snowflakes across your face at speeds that make it feel like razors dragging themselves across your skin, though you notice that Bizarre and Marko seem used to it, and if Karag isn't used to it, he sure isn't letting it show. An endless chorus of crunching footsteps sounds off with each step you take.

It's not long before you hear a choir of piercing shrieks to the skies, followed by big, flapping wings.

((EDIT: P.S. Sorry for the late reply Wyzack,, was busy all day))

Karag seems to be in high spirits. Despite being half naked the cold doesn't bother him a bit. He's too busy educating you each on the virtues of Goliath women and the different grappling moves and choke holds she might use to let you know she is into you if the situation ever arises to notice whatever might be circling overhead.

As you try your best to follow the soaring birds with your eyes, you all manage to catch something. The crunching of snow underfoot, just behind you. Whirling around, not sure what to expect, you've come face to face with a very large, very hungry-looking polar bear. Its red, snarling maw opens to reveal jagged yellow teeth as it gets ready to charge.
