Ctisek takes the shovel, doing his best to bury his siblings.

"I wish you luck," he says, as you depart.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hours later, you come across a crowd of people in a clearing. Many tieflings form a very large circle around something up ahead, though you cannot tell what. There's quite a bit of cheering and yelling, and sounds of blades meeting one another.

((You can roll perception here.

I make a lot of use of perception, don't I?))

You don't see what the commotion's about from this distance, but you notice a good number of the crowd is wearing white leopard pelts around their waists and carrying spears. Marko, points beyond the circle, just barely noticing beasts watching from hills up above.

Bizarre sees through the commotion to tell what's going on: They're gathered to watch a duel. Two tall, sinewy tieflings stand five feet apart, each with a longsword pointed at one another. Apparently the fights have just started.

Beyond that, him and Joey both notice that the events, as well as the party, are being watched. Snow leopards mark the horizon.

((I like that, but I wanna eventually get you guys to the point where you roll stuff like Perception to see if you notice anything or History to see if you recognize a location, event, or sigil, or Nature to see if you know this animal on your own. Don't be afraid to take a little initiative, guys, he said, trying-not-to-sound-sarcastically!))

Aeden brightens considerably at the sight.

"Well look at that boys, a chance to thin the heard, snow leopards and all. Do you think we should make a right show of wiping out the leopard skinned bastards, or should we introduce ourselves and have a duel or two? I do love a good duel."

The fight is intense, with both competitors swinging their blades at lightning-quick speeds. Edge meets edge in a whirl of steel, with both duelists giving it their all. Eventually, one gains the upper hand, grabbing his sword with both hands and swinging the pommel at his opponent's leg. The loser's knee bends inward with a sickening sound as he falls to the ground, defenseless, and the crowd cheers.

The victor, a tall, strapping tiefling with a scar running from his chin up to his left cheekbone, poses for the crowd, laughing. "Who can stand against me?"

You hear a noise that makes your stomach turn over on itself as Zivko's duelling career is cut tragically short. The crowd gasps, and the announcer even takes a step back out of surprise... At least, until the entire crowd starts cheering, throwing ribbons into the air and whooping at the giant's brutal finisher.

"WE HAVE HERE NEW HONOR GUARD FOR LEOPARD KING," the announcer yells, smiling a big, crooked grin.
