this was discussed when I was still adminning and there was a very positive response to having permabanned players be locked to FNR to make appeals, but adding a ban for everything when you get any ban in game is a bad idea

(the idea to lock perma'd players to the appeals section was received very well but I'm told after I deadminned like two or three people spoke against it and then the idea immediately died because I guess no one wants to deal with the drama and I wasn't there to defend it in any way)

at the absolute most kick em out of the policy, ideas, and coding feedback forums but at that point its such a minor ban that it'd be more hassle to do/undo it than it's worth

temp bans shouldn't apply because it's too much overhead but seriously the amount of permabanned players who continue to hang around when they are clearly not wanted should never be more than 0

do something warranting a forum ban: get a forum ban
do something warranting a game ban: get a game ban
do something warranting an irc ban: get an irc ban
do something warranting a discord ban: get a discord ban

why would you link them all they're handled individually just fine

because some permas are for people being insufferable, as a perma is usually a 'please leave our community for a good while, we won't miss you if you don't come back', it is not much of a stretch to remember certain players perma'd who were also caustic and useless posters on the forum or elsewhere

but it's case by case, while most forum permas are probably indefensible, applying them manually still works and isn't broken
