Can we make this a bannable offense already? Having no reason to call the shuttle and jsut calling it and giving no reason to the crew is fucking bullshit. THIS IS WHY WE HAVE SHORT ROUNDS. No one wants to repair the station because 90% of captains are shit and will jsut call the shuttle rather than making drones or getting engineering to repair the station. But a lot of the time it's just bored captains ending the shift because they want to roll antag even though the station is functioning perfectly fine

I would like to see the same graph with an overlay of average player count. I think it almost correlates 1 on 1.

Yeah I can almost guarantee that the lower the player count the longer the round length. The only thing we can do to fix it policy wise is make stricter rules or antag restrictions which noone wants.

Is it just me or are the code changes that are enabling macros or "push button receive prize" for many departments (chemistry, circuits, research, surgery, arguably botany and xeno) just making things worse? Why do we keep adding features that just make the game easier for everyone and lessen the time requirement to do tasks when we don't want rounds to be short?

I don't think that's a valid point.

I see no correlation between getting your job done faster and the rounds ending as quickly as they do. One results in chemistry, research, etc. being better stocked, and the other is caused by the station being a mess or the heads being stressed out or bored. As I said, no correlation.

Also it's funny that you listed xenobio among your examples, considering that the round usually ends before xenobio gets anywhere meaningful.

there's also the factor that many players use those supposed "push button get loot" features in the game and yet virtually all of them manage not to BoH bomb the station because someone gave them a mean look

That seems a bit out of left field, but yea, the crew doesn't tend to use that kind of stuff on the station.

More often than not, the station just gets messy from all the windows being broken, all the airlocks being hacked, and all the hallways being filthy with blood, which is the kind of disarray that often makes people feel like shuttle call is in order.

This is why i make such a big deal of cleaning blood and fixing messes, and people should too.

If they're sick of these nerd "I'm bored" fags they need to put their backs into it, fix the station up right proper and mutiny when they try to pull that shit if necessary.
Also, Admins should admin-recall the shuttle and make angry announcements when it happens more often. One time they admin recalled it cause the captain was just being a baby several times when i was the HoP and i was perfectly fine with it despite the station being in mild disarray.

there's a peak on bagil before it evens out so rounds were longer on bagil at one point so get owned

I think one thing that graph is missing is dividing peak round times and off-peak round times

A round at 3am when 10 people are on will likely be longer than when bagil has 110 people online, so in theory this graph could be misrepresentative of the actual average round length
