What Should the Emergency Bar Staff be Doing?

After an incident earlier today involving the bar shuttle I have been wondering; how are the ghost role bar staff (consisting of a drone and lusty xenomorph maid) expected act towards antagonists, the situations they create on the shuttle, and the crew in general?

The drone itself, as far as I'm aware, does not have standard drone laws, nor does the xenomorph maid have any. So, what is the bar staff expected to do when antagonists arrive at the bar? If they cause damage, such as attempting to blow up or depressurize the shuttle, is the drone expected to repair that damage? Can the bar staff (mainly the drone, as xenomorph maids are largely incapable of damage) attack antagonists in self defence? Pull/push them off the shuttle? If an antagonist plants a bomb, grenade, singularity beacon and so on, are the bar staff able to remove it? Are the staff expected to try and heal crew, and bring them out of dangerous areas of the shuttle? Should the staff try and intervene in situations to prevent harm, such as restraining crew? Should the drone simply act as any other drone, and if yes then how should the maid be treated?

What exactly is the role of these bar staff?

I don't find bar staff preventing their bar from blowing up disproportionate at all.

I'd look carefully at the 3rd law there.

Maybe it should be reworded, but the spirit of the law seems not to fuck with carbons.

The maid however has no laws, but is bound to server rules and regular escalation against the crew and the crew have relaxed escalation towards them as they are a ghost role.

they're both invulnerable and godmode, the drone should let antags do their antagging. even if that means the shuttle getting blown up. the maid should do the same. do your roles and don't interfere with fights with your godmode 10k health or whatever.

Surprisingly good post. I don't think admins exist to handle problems you can easily fix by code but choose not to because ???

Really all there is to it. A while back I'd be surprised this is even a problem, but I've seen experienced players fail to understand basic ghost roles so whatever.

The three main solutions I've seen seem fair enough, just pick one or all; slap players who abuse the bar drone role, big red obnoxious text on accepting the role telling them to just serve fucking drinks, code them so they can only do their role or remove godmode.

I'm fine with any of that. I don't see Xeno Maid being a problem, pretty sure all they can do is clean people and maybe push/block people, Xeno Maid is a non-issue. Bar Drone being immune to damage and having hands but no drone laws means it can be abused but our retarded playerbase should know exactly what a bar drone is meant to do. Just fucking ghost role ban the idiot, fuck rules lawyering they should know better.
