Just a gimmick I'm thinking of doing; as a tator-tot implanting myself with a bomb/leaving a bomb rigged to a health sensor and then using it as leverage.

However I am concern, security is likely gonna laugh and kill me, now as a tatortot I'm cool with blowing a dirty great hole in the station, but if Redshirt McTaser kills me after I tell him I'm packing a health sensor bomb combo, would he be liable for the deaths as well?

If so I'd rather find out here than get some redshirt banned, I'm not asking for scenario by scenario breakdown but a more general yay or nay, or even 'Likely in most cases' or 'Unlinkely in most cases'

I would probably not believe you. If you made security liable it would mean they have to believe anyone who said they were hooked up to a bomb or risk getting banned.

Counterpoint: I am willing to bet every sec team will have at least one guy who would measure being able to get a valid kill to be of greater worth than not putting a hole in the station so if your bomb is elsewhere in the station you better have one on your person too. Not to mention they could just nonlethally detain you if they have the time. It is a cool and classic villain idea but I don't know if it will survive the playerbase

the point is that theres no way of really verifying that they have the bomb set up

Given the performance of egyptian special forces on that plane that one time where they killed more hostages than the terrorists ever did, I want to say a security officer causing a bomb to go off killing dozens is in fact true RP if not RP of a really stupid officer in any case.

This server's specialty imo is players dealing with unique emergent IC consequences, admin oversight over situations where players are gonna be tensed up and filled with adrenaline is probably a bad idea too.

Yeah Russians nerve-gassed a whole theater full of hostages to kill the terrorists, and caused the death of a couple hundred children at Beslan when they stormed that school so it's kinda realistic for sec to not care about collateral damage as long as the valids are killed

I always assumed that lorewise Nanotrasen had clone template backups of all the crew, as it explains why we dont remember previous rounds.

I'm trying to be more flexible with my alignment because being Lawful all the time is not so fun, ever since Oldman (?) wanted to do a gimmick nuke ops with me, and I literally said I don't negotiate with terrorists.

I can tell you I tried similar thing. I packed my backpack with C4 and rigged voice activation, then I arranged face to face meeting with the Captain. I think he played along, but I remember exploding afterwards and killing myself and the Captain, at least until he got cloned minute later.

Replace "i will bomb the station" with "I will bomb all the syndicate, therefor denying you the blood which you so thirst for".

This, you have to put Ian right next to you. Any security officer that kills you and gets ian gibbed as a sacrifice doesn't deserve the title security. Shame on them.
