its
- unmaintained/not updated to current code changes
- low pop servers and high pop servers hate it (look how terry fucking died after months of omegastation as default map)
- kills pop
- ugly
- quality > quantity

I don't know any mappers that would be willing to sink time into fixing Omega's glaring structural issues.

If you're curious why I think that the map is beyond repair:

- The size doesn't work with bombs - you can destroy the entirety of medbay with a single bomb.
- It's missing entire areas - Viro, Genetics, a nanite lab, holodeck, toxins, proper tech storage, the gulag.
- Lack of head jobs means that A) early shuttle launching is almost always impossible, B) calling the shuttle is much harder due to lack of comms consoles and C) head items are stuffed into regular staff lockers.
- The AI upload has no turrets or windoors - in fact, most high security areas have rglass windows that you can just smash.
- There are no solars. This pretty much guarantees a round end if the SME blows up.
- Botany and the kitchen (the two areas that actually need to be adjacent to each other) are separated by a comically large hallway.

i don't see why that's a bad thing, also it's the opposite of box

Box is good boi

2-3 people rounds don’t sound enjoyable. May as well go full on singleplayer if you’re not expecting to meet anyone, then you’ll at least be able to give yourself admin commands.

It definitely shouldn’t be a consideration for keeping an unmaintained map in the code.
