Why are people allowed to say nigger on here? it makes no sense and should be changed. Im not even black but my character is and its really annoying and shouldn't be tolerated at all.

Saying the N word is edgy 'h u m o r' which isn't actually funny.

Thing is, I feel like there's people with arguments on why outright banning it is a bad idea. I don't really have these arguments however it's probably because freedom of speech or something. It's not like we would lose anything if we weren't allowed to say that word besides "wtf now i can't call lizards LIGGERS anymore wtf" however eh.

Besides, we're supposed to be mature adults here, right? You gotta be 18 or older to play on this server, ya know. None of us would be so immature.

edit: also wrong section for this but eh you seem like you have a serious question.
edit 2: also I don't really have an opinion on this. I don't care if the word is banned or if it isn't. You would probably have to ban more than just the N word if you banned it, though. That doesn't sound nice.

How does it not make sense? Just call em' a cracka and move on with your life, or something. Or resolve it IC and get the lawyer to drag em' into court, that'd be entertaining.

or play on one of the numerous servers that does have a policy against the use of slurs against real-life groups
most of those servers primarily have that rule to filter out 14 year olds rather than actually being offended by it anyway

I dunno if I like the concept of text censorship due to not believing everyone on the admin team would be on the same page, but there are some obnoxious people who think they're hilarious by screaming about niggers every 2 seconds because they're 12

It's not unique and it's incredibly unfunny after the 5th or 6th time and half the time said people use it more than terry davis while killing the humor of it

I now remember when that one player used to go on insane pol rants in ooc a few years ago and they managed to piss everyone off on the server. They ignored being told to shut the fuck up and they were obnoxious as hell

I have noticed a specific shitty player spamming the n word more than usual lately. I was showing the game to someone and they commented about it. It really looks bad honestly even if this is bait. Generally not a problem usually, we just have some garbage spewing it more lately.

Cant remember the name off the top of my head but I've talked to other admins about it already

If use of racial slurs was grounds for requesting age verification it would get rid of so many shitty players and the server would be so much better off without really infringing FREEDOM OF SPEECH or whatever other meme /pol/ uses nowadays to excuse being a childish twat

Requesting age verification is limited specifically because there are a lot of people who are perfectly over 18 who wouldn't want to share real world ID. I don't find using the n-word as a joke funny or good but I'm not going to pretend it's sane to suggest requiring age verification from every person who says it.

Obviously I was joking, although I wasn't joking about the fact it would still be a net gain for player quality

I do think however that if you want to actually enforce the bare minimum of roleplay standards then requiring people to not talk like 4chan rejects in IC would be a good place to start

Also I can't imagine OP is the only person that's been turned off by it, if you join for the first time and the first thing you see is someone spamming NIGGER in chat it doesn't make a good impression
