That's why I said limit it by section. On most maps there is only one slot of this kind, and it's hidden in the curators back room. You then have the entire pool of dirty art rolling for a single slot, that can only been seen while a ghost or breaking and entering into a back room.

You need to remove an existing painting and place the new painting on the existing frame for it to be saved in persistence, building new frames in the gallery will not work
Destroying or removing paintings that are persistence loaded does not remove them from persistence, only admins can

I'm not sure if admins have the ability to actually change painting categories yet but I'd like it if some were moved to the private gallery instead of deleted as that's basically it's intended purpose (while keeping within rule boundaries)

It's worth noting that I created that wiki page with the hope that eventually someone with an understanding of painting persistence would eventually add that information. As it stands, my half-correct assumptions are the only written instructions regarding painting persistence on the entire wiki.

I do that with the Brenton Tarrant picture some yucko /pol/ guy did but obviously there's no way to remove it from persistence as of yet (and frankly I think everything that continues to persist even after being destroyed or removed should have a ckey-based vote or some other means of removal to prevent the system becoming clogged with garbage the way soapstone messages have).

vv only removes it for the round, you need to remove it on the DB proper.
Admins are not currently trained how to do this.
