Grabbing prisoners from security as a nonantag

I'm sure we've all experienced this as security. You've got that random shitler or suspected ling/cultist/rev/horse fucker cuffed and you're bringing him to the brig and bam, that random greyshirt who was following you snatches him away because durr "fuck da popo". I imagine that this is generally treated as an IC issue unless it's a recurring behavior with that particular player. The thing is though, where do we draw the line with that kind of behavior? Honestly, I doubt that many of these people give a shit about being thrown in the brig for a couple of minutes. Big whoop, you're in the brig for three minutes. Time to open up a three minute video on youtube to pass the time and get on with it. Unless they're constantly doing doing it through the round, I have a hard time seeing the admins step in to intervene. My question is, should security be able to punish people who pull this shit harshly? There's really no other reason to try to pull this shit aside from being a dick and if you're going to go out of your way to be a dick to security, I think it's only fair that you get a smack down for it.

If someone helps a criminal escape, I consider them an accomplice to the original crime. IF that involves perma then I will ask the captain or HoS to back me up on it. You can also give them a perma sentence, suspend it, then put them on parole, telling them if they do any more major crimes they go right back in.

When I bother with them I always give them the same punishment as the original offender (as is in accordance with spacelaw).

Hilarious when you execute or perma them and they go all "NOOOOOOOO I DINDU NUFFIIIIIIIIIIIN".

When the person you are stealing away was dangerous than I might also judge the situation as one involving multiple hostiles and just execute you on the spot.

SO MUCH THIS. even if they dont ghost most of them just try to fuck up the area because they think that'l make us mad somehow, so i just set them to arrest and have the gulag borg keep shitting on them while telling them to stop over the radio. the gulag is literally the best weapon you have as a member of security against greytiders/general shitters, hands down.

Set the gulag Securitron to Detain mode, and have it not report arrests. It'll chainstun anyone on Arrest without clogging up Security comms.

I'm not sure why the IC aspect of this is being discussed, Space Law has said this for years. I mean literally before even I touched space law, like for as long as I've been playing.

Personally if someone tries to steal one of my prisoners they're getting batoned to death in the hallway.
