A stricter enforcement of rule 3 and other OOC addendums

The proposal:
1.A stricter enforcement of rule 3, especially when it comes to IC names
2.Spamming Messages in OOC should be meet with a mute
3. Make dead chat rules clearer, as currently it depends on the staff on duty what is accepted and what isn't

Arguments against:
TG Station is supposed to be light hearted
Some names are funny
Spamming messages can get more attention
Memes
Dead chat will become a valid metacom area.

Arguments for:
Dumb, minimal effort names
Spamming messages in OOC isn't productive
Generally Juvenal
Accidental IC in OOC in dead chat can happen, because players don't know what's acceptable

Recommendations:
1. This didn't used to be a problem, but now Im seeing an growing number of names like Joban, Twiddledicks, Doritosnack, and my favorite Sexs-the-security. As a one off these names can be somewhat funny, but if its round after round the joke gets old really fast. What I propose is if a mod sees someone with a low effort name like above stated, they politely PM them and ask them to change it next round. If they ddon't they are PMed again and asked to change it, if they don't do it the next round, they get a slay, and a PM.
2. A few times, I'v seen people come into OOC and spam messages that are cringe worthy and generally just bad. Then other people will re-post the same message in OOC and it goes on and on. I recommend a rule stating an immediate 2 hour mute from OOC for everyone who re-posted the spam message
3. Right now, dead chat is very much a grey area in the rules. I recommend the following rules for dead chat:
1:No specifics about who killed other people (EG: Name of killer, Place killed, ETC), you will only remember the specifics of how you were killed, and if they were cult/ling/etc.
2: You do not remember the specific location of any cult bases/ops shuttles/etc, but you do remember the general location (EG: Somewhere in Dorm Maint, North of the bridge) and if it was cult/ops/etc
3: Posting any links or OOC messages such as coderbus reports should be meet with a mute in deadchat for the rest of the round.

Personally I'd like to see a light naming policy in play, but it isn't a huge issue and we generally ask people to switch if its overly OOC.

People who spam messages in OOC already get muted.

Deadchat is a mixture of IC and OOC, you're allowed to share OOC things in deadchat as well as IC things. For all things, its generally considered OOC. You don't have to play a role in deadchat, as observers also sit in deadchat along with administrators. You can not, however, take information out of deadchat for IC use as that falls under metagaming.

Exception to this is scrying orb/astral projection ghosting, where you have to remain relatively IC in deadchat and can use knowledge from it in life (unless said knowledge was spoken by an admin)
